Chapter 63 - Encounter in the Wild

Klein did not count the countless hours he spent toiling with his grubby little hands; he was eagerly crafting various equipment from the bodies of the dead meibeasts.

In his vision, he could see the still glowing parts of the creatures: hides, teeth, bones, and even organs!

His father went in frequently to check up on his conditions as an almost three-year-old child doing such a thing was unprecedented even back in the city.

'This kid! If only he had a better upbringing, he could be a master in almost any prospect. My son is such a genius.'

Weeks went by as Klein both tended to the underground gardens and his tailor made equipment.

After he finished, he was left with a hefty load of powerful items; he was now prepared to venture outside without fear of what he would meet.

In total, he had crafted crude gear in the form of snakeskin boots, a hide tunic, and two sharp daggers made from the teeth of a ferocious canine beast.

With the help of his gifted mofei sensing eyes, he had made use of air, earth, and water infused materials respectively.

From what he could conjecture, the boosts would help give him bursts of speed, the tunic could harden into a defensive armor, and the two daggers' sharpness could be reinforced and could practically shoot blades of water.

'Finally, I've completed manufacturing my safety in the wilds.'

Klein fell onto the ground in a bout of exhaustion and stretched his sore muscles. For him to be capable of such feats despite still being such a young child was truly insane.

With his previous knowledge he had collected up until now, Klein knew that if he had not passed prematurely, he would have become renowned even in his old world.

His past self was proficient in almost all mental fields, sciences, and production and manufacturing techniques while still not becoming an adult.

He could remember receiving awards and medals for competing in a multitude of projects from technological to anthropological.

He had coalesced such an advanced level of theoretical and practical knowledge that this world most likely would never achieve, and it only bolstered the excitement Klein had for his future manipulation.

He had already developed the method to externally manipulate— although it was hard to say if this was due to his birthright or not— and could readily dually manipulate after battling the four-winged eagle.

'From now on, I will further my research on all things mofei related and become the most proficient manipulator this world has seen.'

He made himself a vow to become stronger.

While he layed arms wide out on the floor, he slowly succumbed to his overworked tiredness and fell asleep.

As he slept, his mother came into the room and gently picked him up and placed him on a makeshift fur bedding in the room.

Meior came in to see him being tucked in and softly whispered to his wife, "This son of ours is a talent unseen for generations," he leaned in and hugged her from behind.

"Yet all I see is my baby boy working hard to prove something he was not tasked to," Meira leaned her head back and rested it on his shoulder.

"This is destiny in the making, my love. He has nothing to prove that he already hasn't shown to possess."

"I just wish he would be more like his appearance suggests," she sighed, "He was the one who protected us after the eagle beast attacked. Even you could not face that monster."

"That is exactly why we should not have to worry," he kissed her lovingly.

"It is because I can't stop worrying that I hope he can take it easier. But as it stands, Klein is the miracle child of this Meita Village."

---

Outer space, nearing planet Mamon, a lone, shoddy ship with a single plate of gold on its top quickly moved.

Theef's ship had arrived at its destination as given by Null.

"We've finally made it to this place. I was beginning to believe you got it wrong after all this time."

Theef sat in the captain's seat as he surveyed the image of a planet on one of the screens in front of him.

The adolescent and kneeling pauper were there behind him.

"We're about to enter orbit, so strap in. It's gonna be a rough landing!"

With that being said, the adolescent got into the co-pilot seat and fastened his belts. He looked to the kneeling pauper and received a silent nod, letting him know that he would be alright.

That man was in fact a Transcendent being.

The ship trembled as it entered orbit and being the piece of junk it was, the trembling was anything but slight.

Overall, the trip was safe, but upon entry, they were falling and fast.

Coincidentally, there was a giant four-winged— rather three due to an injury— eagle beast that happened to see the ship as it sent a giant arc of wind towards it.

The ship was immediately torn to shreds and broken parts as the front part of the ship crashed down into the trees.

After Null and crew's crash landing, they were immediately on guard against their aerial opponent.

A terrifyingly large eagle-like beast larger than Theef's ship laid high in the sky flapping its tremendous wings which stirred up gusts of mofei-infused wind.

"What the fuck is that big ass bird!"

Reeling back from the intense winds, Theef didn't stop himself from swearing heavily.

"Where the hell did you take us. My SHIP!!!"

"I think we have bigger problems now, don't you think?"

Null's small figure was tumbling around as he tried to stabilize himself with his newfound cultivation.

After a period of long saturation with the spiritual energy he drew in with the vortex inside him, his feeble-looking body was in fact the opposite.
