A year passed since the day that the town managed to tame their first batch of wild horses.
There have been major developments and the town's overall progress couldn't even be compared to a year ago.
Currently, the citizen problem has been solved and the rumors attracted at least 12,000 more citizens to the town.
Needless to say, the Petaldream Chamber of commerce did a great job so they received generous pay from Adelaine.
Fortunately, Blanc was prepared for the sudden population growth and they somehow barely managed to provide enough food and accommodation for 12,000 citizens within a year.
As the population grew, the number of farmers and carpenters also grew, so even if the population kept on growing, they would still be able to accommodate everyone.
The rate of population growth will only continue to grow in the future. This is because some of the citizens are going out of town to visit their relatives.
Due to this, the rumors that there was a flourishing town in the gloomy plains were basically confirmed to be true.
Since the rumors were true, the number of people who were hesitating to try their luck in the new town decreased and this meant a faster rate of population growth for Resonance Town
During the past year, many things happened.
First, 8 months ago, they successfully captured the mithril ore mine which also contains the sparkbulb herbs.
In addition to that, Helena and her men have established a large training ground inside the Forest of Echoes.
Most of the veterans train inside the Forest of Echoes while the newbies are assigned to the normal training grounds.
Currently, the number of men under Helena's control has grown to a whopping 4,000.
The breakdown of the army is as follows:
500 - Elite swordsmen unit (A mix of veterans and talented warriors, Equipped with mithril armor and weapon set)
2000 - Swordsmen (Equipped with an Iron armor set and an Iron sword and shield)
500 - Eden's archer battalion (The veterans were given mithril longbows while the ordinary members were given iron longbows)
350 - Light Cavalry unit (equipped with iron lances)
150 - Elite Heavy Cavalry unit(The warhorse is equipped with iron armor while the lancer is fully equipped with mithril equipment)
500 - Elite Heavy Infantry unit (led by Alexander himself, fully equipped with a mithril armor set including mithril long spears and mithril tower shields)
With this, Resonance Town's current army can now be described as mighty.
They have a good balance of different units which will increase the army's overall adaptability in battle.
Not to mention, the quality of each unit is superb compared to the soldiers of other kingdoms since the town provides body-strengthening pills to each soldier on a scheduled basis.
As a result, the ordinary swordsmen's physique was at least at tier 5 standard combatant physique and their swordsmanship was at tier 5 novice swordsmanship.
The elite units were all around tier 1-2 elite combatant physique while their spearmanship, swordsmanship, and archery were all around advanced tier 2-3.
Eden himself has reached a terrifying level in archery.
Although his physique is only at tier 4 elite combatant physique, Eden became a tier 1 ranger about two months ago.
His humiliating defeat at the hands of Iron Tiger drove him to work way harder than anyone else.
After a ridiculous amount of training, He finally gained the skill "Powershot" which is usually used by those who reached the rank of ranger to snipe enemy generals from miles away.
He will surely become a nightmare for the commanders and generals on the battlefield.
Moving on from the military, the academy was successfully established about two months ago. The age range of the students in the basic courses was a mess.
There were adults who were determined to learn in order to be accepted in office jobs.
The academy does not discriminate so they still accept all students regardless of their age.
Luckily for Blanc, there were some educated people among the new settlers so he hired them as teachers for the academy.
Next, among the craftsmen, there was one guy named James who surpassed the others and finally broke through as the first-ever master craftsman of their town.
As for the alchemists, although they seemed to have been left behind by the craftsmen, this is actually not the case.
To be recognized as an official master alchemist, they have to head towards any accredited branch of the Praetorian Alchemist Association and take a test.
Once they pass the test, they shall be given a master alchemist badge and they will be officially recognized as master alchemists all over the continent of Praetoria.
Among the first five alchemists chosen by Blanc, there were three alchemists who were ready to take the master alchemist examination.
First is the guild master of the Resonance Alchemist Guild, Albert Brinestine.
The second person was the only female alchemist among the first five alchemists of Resonance Town, Marie Theory.
The third person, Charles Barwyn, although always overshadowed by Albert's talents, is still a very talented alchemist himself.
Blanc is currently making some arrangements in order for the three of them to safely go out of town to take the master alchemist examination.
Moving on, the blacksmiths also had massive improvements. There were at least fifty adept blacksmiths now and around a hundred trainees.
Doran himself had improved a lot. From a tier 1 master blacksmith, he is now a tier 3 master blacksmith.
Recently, Blanc has been preparing the necessary materials for Doran to create an enchanted weapon for Helena.
Captain Helena was a thing of the past now. She was now a general of a four-thousand-strong army and it won't do for her to have a regular weapon.
In addition to her military rank, her combat strength is now terrifying as she had broken through to tier 3 Swordmaster with a tier 2 master combatant physique.
As a comparison, in the entire Kingdom of Lockridge, only the grand marshal should be able to match her in terms of strength.
The most shocking thing is, she is only twenty-four years old.
This is what happens when someone is talented and hardworking.
Lastly, the carpenter association's current task is to build a stone wall around the entire town.
Although this is a huge project, it was almost finished thanks to the expertise of the carpenters.
No one was underpaid so everyone is really motivated with their current life-work balance.
Except for the most recent settlers, everyone has their own money and the town's economy is vibrant.
Before their lives in Resonance town, they would be lucky if they could eat three times a day.
But now, people even have spare money to drink with their friends at the pub after work hours.
Resonance Town is bustling with life. The vestiges of the citizens' old lifestyle are gone.
Everyone can now eat until they are full and they can afford both meat and vegetables. Truly a luxurious lifestyle compared to their old lifestyle.
This is what Blanc envisioned. To create a paradise for his subjects and loved ones.
However, their battles are just beginning. Although everyone is happy right now, they have to work hard in order to keep things this way.
Greedy kingdoms and fiefdoms are just around them, eyeing their town's secrets like a hungry pack of wolves.
The town has to keep growing and it needs to grow fast if it wants to preserve its current peace and happiness.
