Xia Yanru after making her introduction decided to take her leave. Li Tian took out a storage ring
"Miss Xia, this is your compensation as agreed" Li Tian spoke while handing it to her.
Sweeping through the inside of the ring with her spirit sense, she was shocked to discover that there was an additional two million spirit stones within. She could not help but wonder how Li Tian came to possess these many spirit stones.
She was never one to pry into others affairs so she just nodded and left, leaving Li Tian and the others in the capable hands of elder Chen.
From the way there was mutual respect between Xia Yanru and this elder Chen Li Tian could tell he was a very important elder.
From his senses Li Tian could tell that elder Chen was a powerful cultivator in the rebirth realm though he couldn't tell exactly how many rebirths he had undergone.
Having reached the peak of Rebirth realm in his previous life, Li Tian knew a lot about this realm.
This realm was divided into seven stages known as the seven rebirths, each time offering you an opportunity to strive towards perfection.
Every rebirth comes with a corresponding tribulation of the body and soul. The lightning tribulation of the soul, Purifying, bringing it to it optimum state and making it stronger. The fire tribulation of the body, a tribulation which offers one the chance to refine and forge the most perfect body.
With each rebirth one moves towards perfection, however failing to transcend any of the seven rebirth tribulation will lead to death.
After the first lightning and fire tribulation, the rebirth wheel is born and each time one undergoes a rebirth, another is born.
Li Tian could sense from his blood Qi that elder Chen had already exhausted half of his lifespan. It should be noted that rebirth realm cultivators can live for up to 5000 years which meant that this elder Chen was an old monster and despite his smile that made him look like a kind grandpa, he was not to be underestimated.
Elder Chen had grey hair and a long beard that reached his chest level and was adorned in a black robe with two golden lines on the sleeves.
He had a calm way of speaking that made one feel close to him, which made his interactions with other sect members very peaceful.
He had already done all the background checks on Li Tian and gang in the presence of Xia Yanru and having gone through all the necessary procedures, he assigned Li Tian a cave abode and two classes to teach. Ironblood was given the same treatment as Li Tian except for Shi Ruo who was supposed to open a cave abode right next to Li Tian's.
Two people were assigned to lead Li Tian and his group to their new residences. Having separated with ironblood somewhere along the journey here, Li Tian saw a valley Infront of him.
The scenery was quite picturesque. There was only one cave abode here and it was assigned to Li Tian. Shi Ruo quickly opened a cave abode here for herself and thanks to Li Tian giving her a lot of natural treasure she had turned it into a small cultivation haven for herself.
The valley was quickly decorated and the spirit Qi in the area went up by several levels.
However that was not all Li Tian did. He took out the dragon Qi vein and merged it into the ground bringing about an increase in dragon Qi.
As soon as this was done, the dragon Qi attracted the attention of many existences within the sect but they did not act when they saw Li Tian and Shi Ruo busy planting natural treasures in the valley. They assumed that it must be the result of one of the treasures. How would a dragon find itself in the middle of their sect and how did it enter undetected.
Their attentions were quickly removed from Li Tian except for one.
The owner of this spirit sense was now looking at Xia Yanru who was standing Infront of him.
"Yanru, this little fellow you brought back with you is not as simple as he seems"
Hearing this she was surprised
"Why, Father, have you discovered something?" She inquired
"No, it's just a feeling, I can't tell what it is yet. Only time will tell. Just keep an eye on him"
She nodded and asked again "should I pull him over to our side?"
"Not for the time being. Let's observe and get to know what kind of person he is first" the man replied.
He was sitting on a throne, a gentle smile on his face as he spoke.
"So, did you find it?" He asked, his expression becoming a little solemn.
"No, it was already taken away when I got there. After investigation, I found that it was taken by the young lady of the Mu clan. Also this Li Tian was also involved in that incident, which is also one of the reasons I came back with him"
After listening to her explanation, the figure nodded "good. You did well... there's no need to hurry now that we know where it is. No matter what the Mu clan can not obtain that thing within a short period of time. We'll make plans in the meantime"
Over at the valley Li Tian hadn't even noticed the spirit senses that had scanned this area and had no idea that he was already part of a struggle.
He was at this moment looking at the robe he just bought from the system shop. It had the same design and making of the robes offered by the sect except it was a higher level spirit artifact.
It had one golden line running across its sleeves. He was trying it on when he received a visit from one of the outer elders of the sect.
This person just gave him the general day to day activities of the sect and the schedule of his classes and after discussing for a while she stood up and left.
This woman was very beautiful and charming and even after she left Li Tian was still thinking about her. The impression she left was that of a kind big sister.
Over the next two days, many elders came to greet him him with the pretext of welcoming him to the sect but was that at all necessary?. No, there was something larger at play and Li Tian already sensed it.
Especially when two of the elders had coincidentally met at his place, the tension in the air could be cut with a knife.
He had anticipated that in such a big sect, there would be many factions but to be this openly hostile, was the sect in an upheaval?... No matter what Li Tian was not interested in getting involved in these muddy waters. He would just play the role of a spectator. He had sown no ill will against anyone so nobody had any reason to target him.
Quietly he sat within his cave abode and cultivated until two weeks later when it was time for him to teach his first class.
