It was an unusually quiet day at Mao Technologies Ltd. Rumors were circulating that the boss had been in a car accident, and no one knew if he was still alive. The grief on people's faces indicated that they cared deeply for him and were afraid of losing him.
Tanaka was walking through the corridor, passing the reception area when people began asking him about the rumors.
"Good morning, sir. Is it true that our boss was involved in a car accident?"
"Sir, is the boss okay?"
"Sir... they were asking so many questions." Tanaka was becoming frustrated by their behavior. He then answered them harshly. "All of you, stop believing in these rumors. Your boss is okay." The people then calmed down, and he proceeded to the CEO's office. He knocked on the door, and it opened quickly.
"Good morning, sir."
"Morning, how are you? You can sit down." He then sat on a couch. They discussed various things, and when Tanaka noticed that the discussion had ended, he then asked.
"Sir, how did you do it?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Escaping the accident."
"Oh, that one. It's a small issue.
" oh I was really worried, you are indeed clever."
"Also, i have found who is behind this. It's Mr Jones but according to what I know, he can't do that alone. There may be someone who is backing him up. So I won't rush to confront him. I will move slowly."
"oh Mr Jones how dare."
"Also I want you to help me protect Minenhle, i promised her mother to do so and I don't want anything to happen to her."
Upon hearing his boss mentioning her, he was shocked a little bit. Was his boss falling for that girl? when he was still thinking he heard his boss saying.
"don't let anyone at this company know that I'm living with her."
"Okay sir" he then stood up and went to his office.
Tyran was alone in the office now, pondering what to do with the people he had with him. Being alone would have made things easier, but now that he had someone else, his enemies could use that to threaten him. The thought of Minenhle made his heart race. He picked up his phone and called Tanaka, instructing him to bring Minenhle to his office. The call was abruptly cut off.

Today marked the first day of work for Minenhle and her fellow employees, as they began their induction period. They spent the day acquainting themselves with colleagues from various departments and familiarizing themselves with their surroundings through a tour of the working environment.
Later on, Minenhle was shown to her own office. As she settled in and began to peruse company documents, she was interrupted by a voice calling her name. Looking up, she noticed the boy who had attended the interview together with her.
"Hello, how are you?" she greeted him.
"I'm good. Congratulations on getting the job," he said.
"Congratulations to you too," she said, feeling a little shy. While they were still talking, her manager suddenly burst into the office and said, "Miss James, follow me now."
Minenhle suddenly followed him without thinking much of it.
People were throwing gazes as she passed through the reception. Whispers could be heard, "Is she a newcomer?"
"I think so. She is beautiful."
"Do you think the manager has taken a liking to her?"
"Let's stop gossiping."
Minenhle overheard them talking about her, but she did not care much and continued to follow the manager.
The manager brought her to Tanaka's office. She entered inside, and the manager said, "Sir, this is the newcomer you told me to bring."
"Okay, you can go."
The manager then left the office. It was strange that the CEO's assistant was left alone with a beautiful lady.
Back in the office, Tanaka redirected Minenhle to the CEO's office.
As they arrived at the office, he knocked softly on the door and it was opened right away. He thought to himself, "The CEO seems to be impatiently waiting for the girl, but he once denied being in love with her."
As they entered, Minenhle noticed a man sitting on a luxurious chair, resting his arms on a black huge table. She remained standing until he said, "You may sit down. Don't be so polite in front of me."
Tanaka opened his eyes wide, but the boss noticed and said, "What are you still doing here? Get out!"
Tanaka didn't know what he had done wrong and quickly left the office. Minenhle was also shocked by his sudden reaction and became afraid. She quickly sat down.
Tyran noticed that he had made her panic and went to sit close to her. He took a small box from his pocket and placed it in her hands, saying, "This is for you."
She hesitated at first but saw a serious look in his eyes, so she opened the box to find a gold necklace made of pure gold, which showed that it had cost a huge sum of money. She spent more time admiring it and forgot the person with her. She made a large smile of satisfaction.
Tyran made a loud smirk and she was startled. She asked, "Is this mine?" and then returned it to him.
After receiving an expensive box from her, he expressed his dissatisfaction and said that he had put a tracker inside it so it was for her safety . She became worried and asked if there was any danger to her, to which he replied that he was just taking care of his things because he suspected someone was after him. He also warned her to be careful at work and not to trust anyone. He said he would train her properly at home, as she might be of use.
After hearing his words, she put the necklace on her neck. Tyran's eyes remained glued to her. He had made the right choice; the necklace suited her so well. He could see her beauty, and was interrupted by a voice asking, "Is there something wrong with this necklace?" His mind then returned to reality, and he said, "You can go back now. Everything is settled, and remember what I told you to do. Also, Earnest will take you home."
She stood up and quickly left the office. Tyran looked at her until she disappeared and then said to himself, "Am I in love? But will it not lead me to downfall?"
Tyran returned to his table and sat, looking at the ceiling in a daze. He needs to catch this culprit as soon as possible because if he delays, it may become a nail in his coffin.
He needs to deal with Mr. Jones quickly to find out who is backing him up. So he immediately came up with a plan. He picked up his phone and called Tanaka. Tanaka arrived promptly and said, "Boss, you called me."
"Yes, please sit down. We have a serious issue to discuss," he replied. They discussed the problem, and Tanaka was satisfied with his boss's ability to reason. He was exceptional when it came to planning.
"So, you need to inform the Vice President to attend the meeting tomorrow. If anyone asks about me, tell them I'm on a business trip. Additionally, I might be absent for several days, but the new project must proceed. Inform the project manager to start the first project right after the induction. Employees will be rewarded after the project is completed." He then took a black card and a gold card from his pockets and handed them to Tanaka, telling him to give them to the project manager. The money was enough for the project to be completed, and they could cover some other expenses.
Tanaka asked Tyran, "What about Minenhle? Will she still live in your house alone?"
"Of course, yes. I have assigned a bodyguard for her so there is nothing to worry about," replied Tyran. Tanaka then left the office to carry out his boss's instructions.
Meanwhile, Tyran was on a call with Kenny. "Assign other members to do the things that I told you earlier," he instructed.
"Yes, boss. That's where we're going now," replied Kenny.
"Okay, be careful and remember not to leave any traces."
The call ended, and Tyran used the secret passage to reach the carpark. He wore a mask to avoid suspicion and got into a low-key car that was highly advanced and bulletproof. The car sped out of the company.

A girl walked into the bar where she usually went when she felt down. Today was no exception, as she had caught her boyfriend cheating red-handed. When she confronted him, he told her he was no longer in love with her. Filled with anger, she drove straight to the bar and ordered two strong wines. She had booked a private room. Once she got drunk, someone entered the room and said, "Marble, let's go home."
She couldn't hear it clearly, but the voice was very familiar. She raised her head and saw the man who had made her cry and said, "Go away, Ethan. I don't want to see you again."
"I'm sorry, babe."
"There is nothing to be sorry about. You have got what you wanted. I gave you money, I gave you my heart, but what did you give me in return? I convinced my dad to help you with your career. I was so foolish. My dad warned me, but I didn't listen to him."
"Baby, let's talk somewhere else, not here," he said while picking her up and taking her to his car. He then typed a message saying, "I have got her."
The person replied, "Go straight to the building I told you about. I'm right behind you. Make sure no one is following you. If you tricked us, your life will be doomed, remember?"
Fear struck him, but he forced himself to ask, "What about my money?"
"You will receive your money in cash right after you hand over the girl.
