Chapter 49 - 6•47 ; Prelude Of The 'Worst' & the 'Evilest

(Is that true? Boss, that guy didn't do anything bad to you, right?) Daina asked with concern.

(No! And I am not thatt weak. Plus, you shouldn't believe those rumors or the outside world. It's just full of hypocritical or incompetent fools,) Rock scoffed in disdain as he overheard their conversation.

(Ahhh... Hmm. Boss, I really can't comprehend why you hate the outside world so much. Is it due to your past as a begg... Hmmm, the past you just described,) Jack curiously raised his question to his boss, a question he had been meaning to ask for quite some time now. His curiosity was piqued by how ruthless their boss had been in their missions in the outside world. However, his query only earned him a glare from Rock, causing him to shrink back.

Feeling the sudden tension, Daina prepared to intervene and diffuse the heavy atmosphere between the two. But before she could, Rock continued the conversation about sept-nemesis.

(Anyhow, returning back to my earlier conversation, the 5th ranked, Fiend, seems to resent me for reasons unknown to me. Although I have no prior recollection of ever offending him to this day. However, before our meeting or team formation, I have been in a constant barrage of bullying from the time of our 'Worthy program'. At that time, I had been assigned to the same 'Black&White Cage' as him, and due to constant threats on our lives, we were forced to toughen our will and resolution to survive. This strained our minds to the point of ignoring the presence of other kids with us.)

(Like any other child, I've been thrown into life-exhausting hellholes to survive.. During the minute breaks we were allowed, I was constantly singled out and bullied by him as a way for him to vent his frustrations. Being a typical child of my age, I was quite stubborn and immature in my mentality. This made it difficult for me to comprehend why he chose me specifically as his target, despite the presence of many other children alongside us in the cage. Due to my weak constitution, I was unable to fight back and could only endure the relentless pressure from both the grueling training and him,) he said through gritted teeth, blood dripping.

Upon hearing his account, his subordinates became furious. Even the mute Jack raised his voice angrily, (That bastard, we should kill him!)

Without reacting to his subordinate's anger, Rock continued, (And you know what? Hehehe) a ridiculing chuckle escaped his lips, (I foolishly thought maybe it was because of the training's challenges, pushing us to the limits of mortality and the constant fear of death, he might be venting his frustrations due to my weak constitution, which made me an easy target for bullying. Besides, because of the looming death, I gave up on life and just endured, thinking everything would end once I died in one of those hell holes. But fortunately or unfortunately, I was able to survive and make it to the final test. At that time, before stepping into the room of extreme limits for the final, I swore that once I came out as a strong awakener, I would take my revenge on him.) Rock paused, his teeth clenched even tighter, almost breaking them.

His subordinates wanted to ask what happened next, but seeing him like that, they could only conclude the worst.

(As you may have figured out, I challenged him to a life-and-death duel six months ago, not knowing the fact of him being a rank holder. And due to my miscalculation, I suffered an almost instant defeat. This caused my world to shatter into pieces. I thought I was dead. Inexplicably, for some reason, the mad scientist intervened, sparing my life.) He concluded with a complex sigh.

(Eh? Are you sure, boss? Hmmm. Why would the mad scientist help you?... As far as I know, that madman wouldn't bat an eye even if the whole universe collapsed in front of his very eyes, let alone showing compassion to puny experiments like us who he could replace any time.) One of the kids clamored in disbelief.

(Ridiculous! Compassion? Are you kidding me? Don, please spare us from your absurd fantasies. I even doubt if that half-skeletal was a 'LIVING BEING' at all, let alone having a heart or feeling natural emotions show compassion.) Another child, who looked identical to the first one, instantly refuted him, almost falling to the ground at the absurdity of associating the word 'compassion' with the mad scientist.

⭕⚫◾️🔺◼️🛑❌

Unfortunately, the poor kids were unaware that the so-called 'half-skeletal' they were downgrading just happened to overhear their conversation. But then again, Fortunately for them, he was preoccupied with experiencing a 'desperate plight' that went beyond his control, an 'Over Catastrophe' that will become the trigger for the 'Extreme Evil' that is beyond even the conception of existence.

Listening to their disbelief, Rock shook his head and clarified, (No, you misunderstood. 'He' didn't save me. 'He' just stopped the inevitable. 'He' said he is interested in my progress. If I can't live up to his expectations, 'he' will let his 'pets' loose and force me to meet his 'expectations'. This is the condition for my continued survival.)

(What the hell? Did the madman really say that? What kind of 'expectations' is he expecting?) his subordinates exclaimed, disbelieving the uncharacteristic implications of the mad scientist.

Rock could understand their disbelief; even he was confused by what the mad scientist did and said. He internally sighed in incomprehension and was about to reply to their funny expressions, but just then, his eyes rolled and he lost his balance, falling to the ground face flat along with his subordinates.

Stabilizing his shaken consciousness, he struggled to open his eyes and gazed up at the sky, only to be met with a dreadful picture that shook his soul.

Up in the skyline of Geas CD, a strange phenomenon took shape; the canvas of the open sky transformed into a blanket of darkness, causing immense oppression that drained both the living and dead alike. The ground of the hidden island trembled like never before, creating quakes and crevices reaching the depths of the abominable island, which had consumed a river of innocent blood, if not an ocean, since its inception. The technological equipment and enchanting barriers embracing the island crumbled, a sorrowful sight to any lunatic scholar of science and magic.

Bearing witness to this unbelievable phenomenon, Rock's instincts screamed, only one phrase echoed in his heart and mind: "Runnnn! Escape with your subordinates and leave this forsaken hell, otherwise, only death awaits."

In a worst-of-the-worst place known as the {Demise of the Fallen}, which is not far from the Geas CD or the Root of the Overreaching, a place that exists yet also doesn't exist, 'the far end of the West, Where the Prologue Started{Genesized}'.

A seductive voice and an amethyst gleam of a woman resonated in the silence of the darkness and blood, {A minuscule thread of Fate-line in the infinite destiny resonates with the essence of my existence. The time has come, my darkness shall paint the "Creation of all that exists black and red again". Those who loathe 'me' in the past, present, and the future are destined to succumb to the Advent of a second doomsday 'Or' perhaps a 'Demise of Extinction'? Kekekekekekekeeeeeee! Whatever it is, it will be 'Fun & Interesting'.}

During the occasion, Void, who was relishing in fun, watching a 'comic show', abruptly looked up, gazing at the dance of the Starrynight, and mumbled, {And so It Began°}

{What begins?} Sora interestingly asked, standing beside him.
