Aponshe hurried between the both of us and stopped me and Delta from fighting. "Hold it! If you're gonna battle, why not make it an official Overlord Battle? Just like how it was in the old times?"
"Overlord Battle?" I asked and stepped down.
"Hm...An Overlord Battle is a type of battle where two Overlords go one on one for all the Underworld to see. It was rather common back then." Delta said and snapped her fingers, causing Leviathan to stand down .
"It's just us? No Monsters?" I asked.
Delta nodded. "This is to really prove if you're all you say you are. It's also rather easy to set up. The two of us just go into the battlefield and it immediately generates attention."
I looked at Aponshe. "I'm down for that. It would finally shut the doubters up and they will finally know my feats are actually worthy a dime."
Aponshe nodded and sighed softly. "I just knew your battle would probably destroy the castle and this place is too nice for that."
Delta smiled and chuckled. "At least I know you've trained your Servant to have some class~"
"Oh trust me, she's always been like this." I chuckled.
Delta smiled at me and tapped her trident on the ground the warped us to the Underworld Arena. She changed her fin into human legs and stood up. She looked serious and pointed her trident at me. "It's time to get serious now. It's been a while since I've battled another Overlord since my sister, Isarr. Do you have what it takes to defeat me."
"Oh wow~ He's fighting Delta, I knew he was trouble and I like that..~" Desdemona said as she warped to the arena.
"It's been a while since we've had to come here~ Delta! Raiyu! Do your best down there!~" Meliae called out and smiled at us.
Guinevere warped to the Arena and smiled down at us. "Just for the record, I'm only here for Raiyu, but Delta us cool as well~ I like her.."
The remaining four Overlords warped to the Arena to watch as well. The arena began to fill up with spectators from the Underworld. Cheering was heard and they all cheered for Delta as I wasn't that well known in the Underworld.
"Delta!~ We love you!" One of the demons cheered.
"Delta, wipe this nobody off the maps!" Another demon cheered.
Delta smirked and stared at me. "My little sea devils are all cheering for me. It's time to show you our differences!"

[Raiyu, you should be careful. Her abilities not only can induce you with Slow and Rigidity, but she has a skill she shares with her younger sister called Frostbite which doubles damage if you're induced with Slow. Not only that, but she can use her special ability Dark Wave Field, that will continuously induce you with Slow and Rigidity.]
[She can also increase her Ability and Dexterity stats at will to become faster and faster. The only way to counter these abilities is by utilizing Null Zone.]
I nodded then hopped up and down. I rolled my shoulders and got into my battle stance. "Let's get this started!"
Delta twirled her trident around and got into her stance as well. "Come at me."
I smirked and dashed toward her then went for the first strike. She dodged it and swung her trident at me, but I blocked the attack and hit her with a swiping chop at her stomach. She grunted and evaded my follow up attack. She thrusted her trident at me and I ducked under her strike.
I rushed forward and changed my element into Lightning then struck her with an uppercut. She grunted as she was knocked upwards. I grabbed her leg and twirled her around the threw her. She flipped backwards and landed on her feet then launched multiple arrows of water at me. I deflected them and fired a bolt of lightning at her. She groaned as she was hit and slid backwards.
"Go Delta Go! Go Delta Go!" The demons chanted.
"Raiyu! Raiyu!" Viropheir cheered.
"Let's go Master!" Aponshe cheered.
"Raiyu, show her what you're made of!" Dahlia cheered.
The crowd began chanting which pumped Delta up more, and the cheering of my allies boosted my ego further.
Delta had water aura surrounding her body and she bellowed, unleashing her aura then she propelled herself toward me at invisible speeds. She went for a spinning kick, but I dodged it and blocked her trident strikes.
I chopped her neck then feinted my left hook into an invisible strike. She grunted as she stumbled backwards and blocked my next strike. A tentacle made from her water aura struck me, knocking me away. I flipped backwards and noticed orbs of water being fired at me then a beam followed.
"Feel the wrath of my Aegir Stream!" Delta bellowed and sent waves of deadly waters rushing toward me.
I dodged the waves and groaned as a blast of water blew me away into a wall. I got off the wall and felt slower. I felt stiff and grunted softly. I dashed toward her and noticed I was moving slower.
[Notice: Dexterity and Agility have lowered greatly.]
Delta rushed toward me and struck me with her trident twice before knocking me upwards and launching me away with an ice slash. I groaned as I took double damage and landed on the ground.
"Master!" Aponshe called out.
"Delta might be a little hard for him...Her Dark Waves are no joke." Desdemona said.
Delta smirked and pointed her trident at me. "Is that all you've got, Renown Overlord? I expected more from you."
"Don't get cocky yet...A few lucky hits..." I started and stood up. "Changes nothing!"
I bellowed and transformed into my Awakened Form. Delta grunted and slid backwards a bit from my aura. She noticed I vanished and appeared behind her so she swung her trident at me, but I caught it. I chopped her neck again and caused her to let go of her trident.
I kicked her away and threw her trident at her. Delta slid backwards and dodged her trident then caught it and fired multiple blades of water at me. I walked forward and sprinted then summoned my sword.
"I hope you're ready! The battle starts now!" I laughed and used a burst of speed to appear in front of her.
I slashed at her and she blocked my slash then we clashed three more times before pushing each other away. Delta slashed in a circle and bellowed. I blocked her slash and parried her second slash, knocking her trident upwards. She jumped up and grabbed her trident and noticed me flying toward her.
We clashed once again and flew across the sky, clashing and blocking each other's attacks. Delta boosted her speed and began moving around me quickly. She went for multiple attacks, but I dodged and blocked each strike then kicked her to the ground.
Delta bellowed and caused multiple geysers to erupt toward me. "I won't be defeated so easily! Dark Wave Field!"
A dome of black water energy surrounded the battlefield and her Devil Shard on her headdress shined brightly. She let out a battle cry and transformed into her Awakened Form. Her hair became a teal color, her eyes shined a light purple, and her trident transformed into a golden trident. She turned her legs back into a fin and swiftly swam around the dome of water.
[Notice: Oxygen levels decreasing!]
I grunted and looked around as I tried to find Delta, but she was swimming too fast for me to see her. I grunted and generated lightning around my body then discharged it. Delta screamed in pain and sunk to the ground. She grunted and jolted as she was electrocuted.
I changed my element into Water and opened my mouth to create a water bubble then expanded it. I changed my element to the Wind Element and infused the water bubble with wind, making it an air bubble then inhaled it.
[Notice: Oxygen levels stable.]
"What the hell..? He just created an air bubble like that..?" One of the Overlords asked.
"Heh..~ Now that's the first I've seen someone do that..~" Desdemona chuckled.
Delta got up slowly and looked at me then noticed the Dark Wave Field had disappeared. She noticed me slowly descending to the ground.
"Is this enough proof that you're outclassed? There can only be one Grand Overlord, one True Villain. One Overlord that's above the rest. That Overlord of this era is me, Delta." I said and smirked at her.
Delta slowly stood up and glared at me. She sighed and just let own her guard. "I know when I'm outclassed. I know when I'm beaten..."
I made my weapon disappear and smirked. "As long as you recognize the power of a Grand Overlord."
"I highly dislike your Pride. It's the one thing that annoys me! Show some chivalry and stop being so damn smug!" Delta bellowed and pointed her trident at me.
I chuckled and crossed my arms. "Right."
The crowd watched and knew the battle was over. There were mixed emotions. Some were upset that Delta lost, but most were impressed at my victory. After the battle concluded, Delta warped us back to her domain.
...
"Alright, you've successfully defeated me...I acknowledge you. There is something I want you to do for me before we actually form this alliance." Delta said.
"That being?" I asked and looked at Delta with a raised eyebrow.
Delta pointed outside her window with her trident and Aponshe walked over to the window then grunted. She looked surprised to see the Water Temple.
"The Water Temple has arisen. A New Seed has been planted...meaning my domain is also in danger. I need help clearing the Temple and awakening The Lord of Waves, Aegir. Knowing she's awakened, only gives me bad feelings but also a huge relief." Delta said.
"Right..." I nodded and closed my eyes. "What do we need for the Temple?"
"Just like any other Temple, we need two Monsters. Luckily for us, I already have the two monsters. The two monsters are a Siren and a Water Golem. We should still prepare for the worst however. My Devil Crystal is free to use for you, Raiyu." Delta said.
I nodded and looked at the Blue Devil Crystal that rested near her throne. I walked toward it and placed my hand on it then it shined.
[Notice: You can only Level Up with this Devil Crystal as it doesn't belong to you.]
I nodded and took my hand off the Devil Crystal. "When would you like to set out?"
"Tomorrow. Tomorrow morning would be the best time to do so. It would give us all day to explore the Tower. Just make sure you're ready when the time comes. I have no interest in picking up dead weight." Delta said.
I smirked and chuckled softly. "Right. Same to you."
I walked off with my crew and Delta watched me. She smiled and rolled her eyes. As we left her throne room, we were escorted out of the castle and I took everyone to an Inn to rest for the night.
