"Sophia, Sophia…"
Drowning, Sophia heard someone frantically calling out to her. She struggled to open her eyes. But her eyelids weighed such heaviness that she couldn't part them open.
Suddenly, a pair of large hands pressed against her chest and squeezed hard. Something which felt cold and soft stuck to her lips, forcing air into her mouth.
"Ahem, ahem, ahem…"
Sophia finally spurted out the water stuck in her lungs. She had a violent fit of cough, as though she was going to cough her lungs out. Her nasal passage burned in pains.
After coughing for nearly a minute, Sophia finally stopped.
"Sophia, are you alright?"
A pair of large hands helped her sit up and gently patted her back.
In a struggle, Sophia's eyes fluttered open and before her was a face as handsome as a god.
"A… Alexander."
It was Alexander who had saved her
