"Greetings to all of you present here; I'm Ivy Fennimore, the leader of one of the most successful forensic teams in the country." With these words, the senior forensic officer begins the conference.
Ivy Fennimore is an extremely skilled forensic computer analyst who leads a successful forensic team. At 54 years old, she has decades of experience in her field and is widely respected for her expertise and achievements.
Despite her many years on the job, Ivy remains devoted to her work. She values the challenge of investigating complex digital crimes and using her technical skills to uncover evidence that can be used to solve cases and bring criminals to justice.
"Today, we have all been summoned here to solve a mystery. I trust that everyone is aware of the current situation?" Ivy asks the thirty-six people present, receiving positive responses before continuing.
"I hope that most, if not all, of you, are familiar with Mr. Percival Jenkins and Mr. Vergil Sowle. For those who are not, they are both members of my team. Mr Percival Jenkins is a forensic biologist, and Mr Vergil Sowle is a forensic accountant." Ivy nods at the two gentlemen, who stand up and acknowledge the introduction.
Ivy takes a moment to scan the room, holding her gaze on Zelda Alric and Nyx Wilcox a bit longer than the others.
"I would like to introduce the two new ladies who have joined our team. Please welcome Ms Nyx Wilcox, our crime scene analyst and Ms Zelda Alric, our toxicologist." Ivy claps and waits for the two young women to reach the platform.
Nyx Lexine Wilcox is feeling ecstatic. The woman she has always admired has invited her to join her team. Working in forensics has been her biggest dream, and she has now achieved it. All she has to do is prove her worth and talent in forensic science.
Ivy motions for them to address the audience, and Zelda and Nyx step together to the podium, shaking hands with Ivy, Percival, and Vergil.
Nyx walks in front of the podium and adjusts the mic. She takes a deep breath and reflects on the self-motivation that brought her here.
"To all people gathered here, respected Mrs Ivy Fennimore, Mr Vergil Sowle, Mr Percival Jenkins, my fellow Ms. Zelda Alric and esteemed members of the Forensic community."
"I'm Nyx Wilcox, 27 years old. This would be my third official case. As Mrs. Fennimore stated, I'm a crime scene analyst. Growing up I was passionate about learning anything and everything related to crime and look where I'm now. It is an honour to stand before you today as a representative of the outstanding forensic team to assist crack the puzzling case of the increasing number of murders in our city. As a crime scene analyst, I understand the gravity and urgency of this situation, and am eager to contribute my expertise to this investigation."
Nyx glances at Percival, who grins and gives her a nod to continue. The audience applauds. She smiles before continuing, "This case is distinctive in its challenges. We are dealing with a perpetrator who seems to be leaving no evidence or clues behind. But, I firmly believe that with our collective knowledge and expertise, we can find the answers we need to bring this killer to justice. As we move forward with this investigation, I would like to stress the significance of communication and collaboration. We all have different roles and areas of expertise, and by working together, we can ensure that no stone is left unturned."
"I urge all of us to remain vigilant and thorough in our investigations. Let us not be deterred by the lack of evidence but instead, let us approach this case with a fresh perspective and an open mind. It is only by doing so that we can discover the clues we need to solve this case."
"I am humbled to be working alongside some of the most respected and experienced investigators in the field. I am confident that together, we can solve this case and bring closure to the families of the victims."
"Thank you all for your attention and for the important work that you do in the field of forensics. Together, we can continue to make a difference and bring justice to those who have been affected by crime. Let us continue to work together and keep pushing forward until we find the answers we need."
Nyx steps out and gave attention to lots of applause from the people present there. She embrace Zelda as they both knew what being in forensics meant to each other and what living in what they dreamt of meant to each other.
Zelda walks up to the podium when suddenly Nyx's phone vibrates in her pocket. She glimpses at it to see that it is her boyfriend contacting her and hangs up before paying attention to what her friend is conveying.
As Zelda starts her speech, Ivy watches her closely, noticing the slight hesitation in her steps and the nervousness in her voice. Ivy remembers feeling the same way when she first started in forensics and decides to offer some words of encouragement after Zelda finishes her speech.
"Thank you, Nyx and Zelda, for your inspiring words. Congratulations to both of you on joining our team. As Nyx mentioned earlier, communication and collaboration are essential to solving this case, and I am confident that you both will contribute significantly to our efforts."
Ivy pauses briefly, turning to Zelda and looking her in the eye. "I understand that speaking in front of a group can be intimidating, but please know that we are all here to support you. We have faith in your skills and abilities, and we consider you a valuable member of our team."
Zelda's face lights up with appreciation, and she takes a deep breath to steady her nerves as the conference proceeds with discussions and strategies to tackle the mysterious case of the murders in the city. The team collaborates, utilizing their expertise and knowledge to bring the person or people behind to justice.
Suddenly, Vergil walks up to the podium and sighs before speaking, "I apologise for cutting in but I just got a call from the police department. A female body was found deceased in a graveyard."
