Silence fell over the room, heavy and suffocating. The members' faces were in shock, momentarily frozen in place.
Quill, who had opened the book he had found, broke the silence. "It says that an ultimatum can form contracts with demons in order to live with them until their demonic energy gradually perishes on its own..."
Upon hearing this, there seemed to be hope once more, and Arc looked up at Quill.
"But there's a catch."
"What is it?" Arc fumbled over to Quill, desperate to know the details.
Quill looked at the text, then back at him. "But... it's a gamble."
"Please, tell me."
"If the demon wins the tug of war, the ultimatum will be possessed completely. It's not contractual, so any manifestations will..." Quill trailed off, knowing what came next.
