"Nobody among the priests would talk," Cindy slammed the files down on her desk, and everyone turned to listen. "They're out of our hands; the court will take care of them," she sighed.
"At least we got them," Kit said as he took a sip of his coffee.
"I expected at least one of them to crack," she muttered, almost to herself.
Sycamore, leaning against the wall, crossed his arms and let out a long breath. "They're probably more afraid of what'll happen if they talk than anything we could do."
"Or they're just that loyal to whatever twisted cause they've been following," Bryan added. He spoke with disdain, thumbing through a stack of papers, his brow furrowed in concentration. "We've got names, positions, even a few locations, but nothing solid on what they were doing with those women or how they planned to use the cambion baby."
