A city created by an Immortal Lord, a Demon Lord cursed by a strange spell, a group of Demonic Cultivators holding a village hostage, and a threesome between two Immortals and a Demon Lord.
"This is great," Tora exclaimed with a hint of humor. She could hardly believe the nonsense that happened in this world, even after reading the novel multiple times.
Is Asier still gone?
It didn't matter how often she called out to him, the faint connection was still there, yet he seemed unreachable.
"You should leave for tonight." Ningli cautioned him of the time. It had already been half a day since he spent time here conversing with her. "I have to feed tonight."
"Oh right, you never answered my question earlier. Can't you just get someone to find blood for you?"
"We've tried it before, but I would fall berserk and kill indiscriminately. I prefer to be clear-headed for such an atrocity."
"Of course," Tora was a lot calmer than before. She even humored the two with gentle and happy responses. "Do you believe in fate?"
"If it is good to me, I would like to."
"There is a vile thing that will 'accidentally' stumble on you while feeding tonight. He is to be the new Demon Lord."
"I'm sorry, Young Master, but what did you say?" Madame Fu felt her heart drop in the pit of her stomach. She had long grown attached to this young girl as she reminded her of her lost daughter.
"Take care." Tora was in a good mood. She swayed happily as she walked out of the brothel with ease.
This is for annoying me with the nonsensical and incoherent storytelling.
"Ai! Young Master! Don't leave this poor old woman with such a fright—!" The hands that hooked around Jing Yi's arm were swiftly disarmed by the arrival of a stranger.
"What kind of immoral behavior!?" The cold and callous words sent shivers down those who dared to eavesdrop. "Shidi, if you need to engage in such behavior, you should choose a better partner!"
The white-haired youth was beyond furious. He could barely control his anger, only seeing red as he spat out the words through gritted teeth.
His eyes glared at the lady who ran the brothel, warning her of any future attempts she might have in her mind.
"If that's the case, Shizun is my only option of companion." Tora sarcastically refuted his bullshit. Her hands slapped away his with the fan, hoping to escape from this useless interaction.
Li Weisheng felt his head clouded over at Jing Yi's words. He was willing to be understanding if Jing Yi had chosen anyone else, but you dare choose Wei Ziyang!? Unacceptable! Even though I'm standing right here?
His hands gripped the other, pulling him with such force, that Tora could only stumble towards him. Her lips felt a wet sensation, it wriggled and pushed for access into her mouth, causing her body to shiver from sheer disgust at the sudden kiss.
The food and alcohol she consumed the night before threatened to escape the confinement of her body.
Tora was furious.
Her eyes glowed, and the fan in her hand immediately reacted to her intentions. With the power strong enough to rival a typhoon, she slashed at him.
I don't fucking care anymore. I'm going to kill him!
How dare he!?
Are my lips a public toilet anyone can just use!?
His body was sent flying, crashing into several buildings before stopping a few blocks away. Li Weisheng was quick enough to wrap himself in qi, lowering the damage to his body.
"UGH!" He groaned in pain, trying to get up from the rubbish of the fallen structures.
He gazed at the sudden shift of the sky with amazement, unable to look away from the response Jing Yi was able to elicit from the Heavens.
The setting sun was quickly covered by dark clouds as lightning brewed within them. The sight was terrifying for those who witnessed it.
The wrath of an Immortal...
Li Weisheng had only seen one person capable of such a response. He couldn't help but fret from the fearsome gaze his Shidi directed toward him. Jing Yi wanted to kill him, but why?
Every step Tora took filled the others with dread. Was a murder going to happen in broad daylight?
The fan had been closed. Tora raised her free hand, extending the length with her inner qi into the shape of a sword. She acted very quickly, not giving him a chance to defend himself against her thrust.
"You can't kill him yet." The voice that had abandoned her was now whispering in her ears. She could feel Asier wrap his arms around her waist and hand, pulling it back away from Li Weisheng.
Her foot stumbled backward, but the raised hand still kept its posture of wanting to thrust downwards. Her eyes twitched, reddened from the overwhelming emotion that overtook her sanity.
She had never felt such anger in all her life.
"I leave for a bit and you have already caused trouble twice." The tingling sensation, whenever he appeared, helped quell her irritated mind.
You should have just stayed gone. I almost succeeded, why do you have to be such a joy killer?
"Good girl." She hated how he said that. It gave her goosebumps, causing her to relax the hand that threatened to stab the other.
Her eyes were still filled with anger, but her mind felt a lot clearer. The sensation of Asier pressed against her had disappeared, leaving her with the chill that continued to occupy her body.
"Shixiong! A-Yi! How could you fight so violently!?"
Where would the protagonist be if not near the love of her life?
Tora didn't bother glancing at Jing Qinru. She gave a cold hard stare toward the man who dared to violate her dignity, before turning around to leave.
Li Weisheng could do nothing but watch the disappearing back of his Shidi with amazement. The detached and hateful stare was too exciting for him to put into words.
The sky had long cleared up, returning to the beautiful orange of a setting sun as if nothing had ever happened. If it weren't for the concerned looks and broken homes, Li Weisheng would have thought that he dreamt it all.
He saw it, a faint dark smoke wrapping around his Shidi, pulling him away at the last moment. Was that some otherworldly force that stopped him?
He was sure he would be dead, the momentum of the attack was unstoppable, even he wouldn't have been able to counter it. Jing Yi wasn't playing around, his killing intent was oozing from those lustrous pair of eyes.
Li Weisheng couldn't forget his image at that moment. It was like a demon had ascended, unstoppable and menacing. This is truly...
Jing Yi is the only person I need if I want to kill Wei Ziyang.

Tora stopped by the brothel, leaving Madame Fu with a quick message before teleporting elsewhere.
She still couldn't quench the anger in her heart, even though she was currently sitting under a waterfall.
It doesn't seem to be helping. Maybe, I'm doing it wrong.
The novel mentions the calmness one acquires while meditating under the constant barrage of water. This was something Li Weisheng, as the protagonist, enjoyed, as it greatly aced his cultivation every time he meditated here.
She could see the flow of qi, dancing about in this sacred area. As her breathing came to a stable, she felt the tightness in her chest finally releasing its grip.
"AS IF!" Her eyes popped open and the fire was reignited. "I must a FUCKING IDIOT, coming to a place the protagonist loves. I just need the novel, so that I can SHRED THAT SHIT!"
"AGHHHHHHHHHHH!" Her hands imitated her imagination of ripping the book to pieces.
It took her a moment to calm down. She stood up, no longer sitting cross-legged, preparing for the real reason she had chosen to come here.
Li Weisheng felt the sticky warmth of his blood dripping through the cracks of his fingers. A large gash, nearly cutting open his stomach, was preventing him from retaliating against the Master he had once admired.
His body staggered, trying his best to run away. He didn't know where he went wrong again, but he had already died once.
'Why is Shizun so determined to kill me?' This question plagued his tired mind. He had thought that the accident in his first life was a mistake, that his Master was not someone who indiscriminately killed, but this event had proven him wrong.
He felt like he was slapped in his face by destiny, forcing him down the same path, making him into the Demon Lord.
He had avoided going to the town, yet he couldn't avoid his fate. Ningli appeared once more, this time attacking his Shimei, forcing his hand into killing her.
'Why did it matter if he had the title of Demon Lord or not? Wasn't he still walking in the path of Dao?'
He had kept it well hidden, so how did they find out?
He aimlessly ran forward, eyes slowly getting heavier as cold sweat started to form. The rustling of the leaves behind him was frightening.
He didn't want to die again. Was it so wrong to want to live?
The deeper he went, the further he was from the rustling trees. The sounds of water had become frighteningly loud, it slapped and knocked against the stones and bushes, deafening his ears to any other noises.
"A waterfall?" His feet were heavy, only with enough force would they move forward. He needed to rest, otherwise, Li Weisheng would have truly died. "Just a bit more..."
He climbed the stones, hiding in the dark shadows cast within the waterfall. His breathing was unstable and his eyes could barely stay open. "I need to meditate, break through the Nascent Soul Realm, and heal my injuries."
The place was dense with qi, almost nauseating him as he tried to regulate it. His legs shook, unable to fully cross them, and his posture started to lean forward. He couldn't bear the pain and blood loss anymore as he drifted off into the abyss.

"Ugh..." A groggy groan escapes the sleeping beauty's lips, this causes the stranger's eyes to shift towards him.
"Young Lord." The hands that were busy sharpening the blades earlier were now checking the wound. "I'm glad you survived."
The fluttering of his long lashes indicated his awake. Li Weisheng's head spun from the intense herbal smell.
Out of habit, he quickly checked his internal body, finding that his once pure meridians were now filled with foreign qi. It was a dark red, squirming around, and attacking his white qi.
"What...what have you done? Who are you!?" His eyes were now wide open. He felt his world collapse in an instant, he could no longer become a Xian.
"Saved you, of course." The man chuckled. His pupils a strange color of sunset, staring down at Li Weisheng with great amusement. "The Heavens would never allow a Demon Lord to become a god. Do not be sad, Young Lord."
"How did you find out?"
"This humble person is Chenxi, the leader of the Demonic Cultivators." The way his eyes curved made Li Weisheng shift uncomfortably. "You and me both, have been betrayed by our trusted immortals."
Noticing the slight shift in Li Weisheng's gaze, Chenxi continued.
"An accident forced me down the path of no return. I asked for understanding, but they instead, stabbed me in the back." He pulled his hanfu down, revealing large scars covering the upper part of his body. "Even when I begged for my life, they continued to hunt me down. I only wanted to live a simple life, but now I have to live in hiding."
"Yet you became their leader?"
"The others also face discrimination. Some children born with a higher affinity for the Demonic Arts were slain and killed. I gathered the people and protected them as their leader. It was needed."
"Why did you save me?"
"These eyes of mine, they can see the strings of fate."
I want to know what he saw.
"I lied. I just want to steal every single companion he 'accidentally' gets."
'For a second, I thought you were curious about the future...'
Tora shrugged as she left the waterfall. "Where could he be?"
The place was a maze created by nature, trapping everyone within this area, becoming nutrients that kept the maze alive.
That's right. The maze was sentient.
Those who venture into the forbidden sacred place needs to know the exact path to walk through. It wasn't a big deal for Tora who had the novel as a reference, which is why she came here.
This stupidly long novel ended with the death of Wei Ziyang. I remembered it for the sudden shift in mood, as it revealed an even bigger threat to the protagonist.
"At this point, dude is fight the moon and stars probably. Who wants to live for thousands of years just to tirelessly fight enemies?"
'...you don't say.'
