Chereads / Death Of The Villainess / Chapter 18 - The Alpha's Mate | Pt.10

Chapter 18 - The Alpha's Mate | Pt.10

*WARNING: Mentions of sexual assault.*

'This guy, Liam, is dressed like the groom himself.'

Tora clicked her tongue as she stared at Liam. He was fidgeting around in his jewel-studded suit.

I feel unhappy looking at this abomination. Do something about this, Asier.

'Ha ha ha. I'll watch.'

Her lips twitched in annoyance. Liam had followed her back home to John's house and relentlessly stuck to her like a piece of chewed gum.

It was disgustingly giving her these weird feelings that she couldn't explain.

'Oh! He's looking~'

I'm about to sucker punch you, Asier.

"There's the sheet of paper again. You must know magic or something." He approached her and started posing. "Don't I look like I would break hearts?"

"You look like you would go breaking your own heart."

"Thanks. That was your very first compliment."

"Why are YOU wearing Royal garb?"

"Matching couple sets."

"Are you dumb—? Okay, where did you get it from?"

"I walked into the Palace and took one." The fact that his outfit matched hers got her blood boiling. "I even got us matching jewelry."

"Why are we matching?"

"A wedding needs two people, obviously."

"Yeah, Ethan and I."

"The plan says otherwise."

Tora rolled her eyes for the thousandth time. She stood up and checked her dress.

"The dress has triple cushion around your chest and down to your hip areas. Is it too tight? It should help alleviate pressure on the wounds." Liam gestured for the stylists to help check the outfit.

"It's uncomfortable but tolerable." The foam pads were added to keep the metal frames of the corset off of her skin.

"You don't have to wear a dress. How about a suit matching with me?" Tora glanced at Liam for a brief moment.

It wasn't that she hadn't thought about that, but more so that it was important for her to appear with a more soft feminine look. She needed to appear pitiful to the masses.

With her short hair and body laced with muscles, she would aggravate the more traditional guests that were invited.

She had her makeup done softly, giving her an elegant and gentle beauty. Her arms were covered with delicately woven lace that trailed behind her like a veil.

Her hair was styled back and decorated with jewels and flowers. Her neck was bare without jewelry. This was done on purpose to help accentuate the scar.

Her lips curled up as she stared at the scar in the mirror.

I'll be the hopes and dreams of the new world that will appear after today. I'll show you what a real protagonist is supposed to be like.

'That's quite the claim.'

Shut up.

"Reporting! Major Gording has changed into the outfit given and is ready to enter the venue." A commanding officer under Colonel Mason entered with a report.

"Time for the main event." Tora nodded and gave a final outfit check before heading out.

Her job was now to piss and please people until the main couple do what they were born to do.

Robert was daring enough to throw a tantrum in front of the Royals demanding one of the palaces as the venue for his granddaughter's wedding ceremony.

Reluctantly agreeing, the Venus Palace was chosen as the venue. It was the same venue the first Royal wedding was held at after the first win.

Tora and Liam walked hand in hand as they entered the banquet hall. The once noisy crowd became silent. All eyes were on them as they strode in after the announcement.

"Miss Hallie Moore and Dr. Liam Hills."

The Royal Purple colored garments that adorned them caught the eyes of many, including Ethan. He stood there for a short while before approaching them.

"Hallie...Dr. Hills." His hands quickly snatched Tora's, bringing her near him. "I didn't know you were planning on wearing purple. I would've matched."

His white and gold suit added to the brilliance of his appearance. His muscles that bulged through his outfit made the Omegas and Alphas alike dizzy. His oozing confidence and intense aura were addicting. He was the definition of a handsome protagonist.

Tora calmly assessed his appearance. Although she was no longer affected by pheromones, she could still smell them. Ethan was a walking time bomb, constantly releasing his pheromones uncontrollably.

Perfect.

Tora wrapped her hands around Ethan's neck, bringing him in for a tight hug. Her lips curled beautifully as she felt him sniff her gently.

She felt him excitedly rub against her lower half. Her smile became a wide grin as she pushed off him roughly.

A light wheeze came from behind her. Liam was struggling to hold in his laughter as he watched the two.

"You're so affectionate today," Ethan whispered as he pulled her in for another hug. "I'm going to fully give in at this rate."

"You should just give in to the urges." Her whisper was like a siren's call. It lured him in so much so that he nearly dragged her off.

"Major Franz Gording." The announcer loudly announced the newcomer. This caught the attention of everybody and all eyes were now on Freya.

The white and gold dress separated her from the crowd of darker colors. She looked like a goddess had descended into hell, turning everyone's head towards her.

Her hair bounced as she strode in elegantly. A sweep of her eyes was enough to capture the hearts of many, but her eyes were directed towards one person, and one person only.

Ethan locked eyes with Freya, completely enthralled by her beauty. His eyes traced the bare neck down towards her beautiful matching dress. He felt like he was under a spell he couldn't escape.

"His Majesty the Emperor and Her Majesty the Empress have arrived!"

The announcement put a stop to everything. The atmosphere suddenly became tense again and everyone felt panic rising in the air.

Tora watched as Freya's eyes widened in shock. It was never announced that any Royal family member, let alone the Emperor and Empress, would attend this wedding.

Tora didn't bother looking nor bowing at the two that had entered through the VVIP corridor, her eyes were fixated on the expression on Freya's face.

Freya immediately followed everyone and bowed, using her hair to cover up her face as she quivered.

This left Tora and Liam as the only ones standing straight in the presence of the Royals. Noticing this, Ethan yanked on her wrist to remind her.

If Tora hadn't anticipated Ethan's reaction, she would've stumbled and nearly fallen due to the force of the pull. Her eyes were still on Freya as she pulled her hand roughly out of his grip.

"Your Majesty, please grant this subject a chance to obtain an explanation." Tora's voice cut through the quietness. Though she was speaking to the Emperor and Empress, her eyes were glued to someone else.

"Since it is a special day, I shall aid you in acquiring an explanation for whatever you desire." Although they were both unhappy with her and Liam's attitudes, they agreed. Their eyes trailed after Hallie's, staring directly at the only other person in white and gold.

"I'd like an explanation of why you're wearing a matching outfit with my groom, Major Gording." Tora watched as Freya jerked. She bowed her head even more, hiding her face with her beautiful hair.

"Major Gording...?" All eyes were on her, watching, waiting, and excitedly shuffling around to get a better view of the drama.

The Emperor signaled for a guard to grab hold of Freya. He roughly yanked her upwards and dragged her closer to where they were.

The force of the shove sent Freya stumbling and falling on the floor. Her pitiful appearance and quivering made it look like she was a newborn duckling. This tugged at the hearts of many.

She refused to look up and continued to obscure everyone's vision of her face. She acted like she was afraid of being recognized by someone.

This didn't go unnoticed.

"Your head was always held high at an angle. What's the matter, Major? What's so interesting about the floor?" Tora sarcastically said with a sweet devilish voice.

Her words dragged and dug at Freya's heart, making her furious.

Freya's lips clamped tightly shut, refusing to make even a slip of sound. Her hands gripped her dress tightly as she shook in anger.

"Lift her head." The Empress was fed up with the act of defiance. Her voice, loud and clear, echoed through the large ballroom like bells from the church tower.

Grips strong enough to tear her hair off had forced her to lift her face. Her eyes panicked as they stared directly into the Emperor's and Empress's eyes.

Tora watched the three in excitement. Her lips curled and a smirk decorated her face.

Of course, the protagonist has to be someone special.

"This...what is this!?" The Empress firmly grasped her gown as she stared daggers at Freya.

They were stumped for words as their mouth opened and closed. However, this was short-lived. They both regained their composures and returned to their formal grace.

As expected of professional actors.

"Lock her in the VIP room. Young Miss Moore, I had promised to give you an explanation, and I will do so. Let's continue this discussion after the party. It's best not to ruin it over something so simple."

You dogs.

Tora sighed and bowed, showing her compliance to the command given by the peacock that was constantly fluffing her feathers.

Freya was dragged out of the ballroom and the party continued without any other hitches.

The wedding ceremony was set for midnight exactly. Although the days and night were artificially created, they tried their best to replicate what it was like on Earth.

A hand suddenly reached out in front of her, waking her from her thoughts.

"Would you give me the pleasure of being your first dance?" Liam's cheeky voice reminded her of what was about to happen.

"With pleasure." Her hands were in his as they strode to the dance floor.

Tora placed her hands on his upper arms. Liam wrapped one arm around her waist, only gently hovering it above her dress.

Liam knew that Tora couldn't lift her arms to wrap them around his shoulders like others were doing. Her skin was currently in the early stages of fusing and healing, making it vulnerable to the wounds reopening.

He guided their movements and adjusted their position to make her more comfortable. It was a slow and steady movement, greatly contrasting to the excitement of the song played.

"That swine is staring intently. He looks ready to rip me open."

"I'm going to rest after this dance, make sure people notice when I leave and when he follows."

"I'll make sure that those prancing peacocks notice this especially." His voice was laced with giddiness.

Tora ran her hands down his chest, moving in closer before hugging him completely. Her nose sniffed his scent as she spoke calmly.

As expected. He has no scent. I would believe it if he said he was a cyborg.

"You'll become the hero that saves the earth, being revered like a god to this world. Take it as compensation."

"You're quite daring to compare me to a god. I like it." His hands gently grazed her cheeks, removing a slightly loose hairpiece. "Try not to wear something that will accidentally hurt you."

The music continued playing, but they both no longer danced.

Tora felt her cheeks warm up as he pulled away. Her heartbeat was slow and steady, but loud and clear. She felt neither excitement nor embarrassment as she gazed into his eyes.

However, she felt a calm comfort.

Asier...

"I'm tired so I'll be leaving first." Her voice was loud and pronounced. She gave a polite bow and turned towards the Royals. "Please, excuse me." A simple announcement as she strides out of the ballroom.

Liam grinned as he got ready for the most important part of tonight. "A toast to the groom." He casually picked up two cups of wine and handed one to Ethan.

"You still have the heart to toast me, the groom?" Ethan scoffed as he sarcastically snatched the cup from Liam.

"Did you forget to take your suppressants? You're oozing."

"After the wedding, I'll be able to let loose. Why bother with a suppressant?"

Liam's grin faltered. He raised his cup and took a sip. This action prompted Ethan to do the same.

The drink was sweet and hot. Ethan felt it burn as it slid down his throat. The sensation tickled his mouth and left it feeling tingling.

"What kind of drink is this?" He asked as he took a few more sips, trying to make sense of the taste.

"Unique, isn't it?" Liam didn't say much. His eyes glowed as he stared at Ethan.

Ethan felt elated the more he drank. The burning and tingling sensation tickled his mind, making him dizzy.

He felt his body heating up more as he stumbled a bit, feeling overwhelmed by the rut he was about to go into.

Liam grabbed hold of Ethan's arm as he stumbled. The glass he held was "accidentally" knocked out of his hand.

The loud shattering gained everyone's attention.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm just...I'll take a break. Excuse me." Ethan gestured for his aides to help him out.

The floor was quickly cleaned and everyone resumed the activities earlier.

"Which room did Hallie go to?" Ethan tried his best to compose himself, at least until he was with Hallie.

"I heard that the Young Miss is in the room around the corner."

"Good. No one is allowed to enter."

"Yes, Master."

The aide watched as his master stumbled into the room. The door that he slowly closed obscured the slight tilt of his lips. I wish you a moment you'll never forget, Master.

Overcome by his rut, Ethan pounced on the girl that had been on his mind. His eyes were foggy, unable to focus as he let his instinct take over.

His hands violently tore at the dress that she wore. His tongue violated her lips, making wet, sloppy noises amongst the loud moans and groans. Her hands wrapped around his neck, fumbling to take his clothes off.

Their burning skins touched, causing an electrifying feeling to spread from their lips down to the tip of their toes. And then the whiff of pheromones hit his nose, clearing his mind in an instant.

"This...What is this!?" Ethan stared at the person he mistook for his bride-to-be. Her eyes were dazed and her cheeks reddened with lust. Her body twisted and twitched as she tried to bring him in closer again.

"Sir Clark..." Freya was extremely happy when Ethan walked into the room. His rut was so strong it triggered her heat in an instant. Despite the drugs that she took, her heat was still triggered by her mate. They were meant to be together.

"Major Gording, you're— An Omega!?" The strong smell of her pheromones was causing him to lose his mind. He felt his head spin and his consciousness drifting. "Ugh...where's— Where's Hallie?"

Freya felt grievances in her heart. Again! It's always that bitch!

She noticed Ethan trying to get up off her, this made her angry. Her legs wrapped tightly around his waist, hands pulling him down, and her lips kissing his desperately.

I'll have you even if it's the last thing you want!

"Miss Moore, this tea is great for promoting healing." Colonel Mason was currently pouring her tea. They were calmly enjoying their time while they waited for the grand finale.

"You're quite caring, Colonel." Tora accepted the tea and gave it a sip. It was bitter, but not to the point where it made her gag. "You would be a great husband."

The random compliment caught Jack off guard. He nearly spat out his tea.

"Cough! Ah! Well...I've never thought of marriage."

"Good. A boorish and annoying person like you would just chase your wife away." Tora couldn't understand why her father in this world was such a childish person.

"You must know this from direct experience."

"How dare you—!? Move over!"

Tora watched as they bickered like children.

This tea really is delicious...

'I want to try some.'

Fucking bitch.

'Wha—? Hmm..? Was that for me?'

I called earlier. Why are you just replying?

'I didn't think I should intrude...'

Tora shoved the paper in her mouth. She felt annoyance building up in her heart.

'Ew. I felt that in my soul.'

What a joke. You don't have a soul.

'Heh. Sure.'

What?

Asier disappeared after that short message. Does Asier...have a soul...?

Tora caught herself overthinking everything. It was uncomfortable, so she took another sip to cool her head down. She decided that it was best to focus on the current scenario instead of something she barely understood.

She thought about the original fate of Hallie Moore as she twirled her cup gently.

A young girl who was used by everyone around her due to her fate as an Omega. Hallie was treated kindly and everyone feared angering her, but that was only when she was around. The mockery and disdain people had for an Omega like her was disguised behind praises.

She lived believing that Ethan was the only person for her, the one she was raised to marry. But her world came crumbling down when she caught him in an intimate scene with another person at their engagement party. The fear of being thrown away and having to live her fate as an Omega caused her to attempt suicide. She ran into a wall and cracked her head open.

That's how I got this head injury. It would have been fine if she truly died, but she survived. Should have shot yourself instead, Hallie.

The true hell came after that. Her causing a scene at the party made a mockery out of the Moore's and the Clark's. This caused her engagement to fall through, leading to her becoming a sex toy for Ethan as compensation.

The fate of this character was ugly, unlike the two protagonists. Ethan and Freya joined hands and managed to chase away the invaders. Their mission together led them to become closer to each other. Their love grew and so did their lusts for one another.

The drug she took to suppress her Omega wore off one night during a mission, leading to the two becoming entangled. Their marriage was soon announced after Freya revealed her identity as a princess. The story ended with Freya and Ethan sending Hallie off to be a plaything for other rich nobles. And they had their happy ever after as the new heroes of the world.

Not only are they disgusting human beings, but Freya, who complains and understands the pains of being an Omega, never once changed the fates of those who suffer from it even after becoming the queen of the new world.

Those pigs treated Hallie, who did nothing wrong, like shit simply because their egos were hurt.

I'll make sure to crush you lovingly, dear protagonists.

Tora slammed her cup down on the table. This sudden act caused the two bickering adults to stop and look at her with concern. Tora simply glared at her "father," the person who threw Hallie away after she was of no use to him, with disdain.

"What are you two bickering like children for? If you can't decide on marriage, just marry each other. You seem like a married couple already."

"Hallie! How could I marry this gorilla Beta!?" Her eyebrows twitched from the overly excited attitude her father was showing.

"What? Did I see it wrong? You already have multiple children, Father. A male Beta as your sweetheart won't hurt."

Tora could see Jack's face pale as she continued teasing the two. "That's...I'd rather marry the General! Even you are better, Miss!"

"YOU—! you!" They both stood up as they glared at each other. "You whore! What did you do!? How could my lovely daughter see me and you in this way!?"

Lovely daughter!? How dare he!?

"WHORE!? IF YOU SUDDENLY DROPPED DEAD, DON'T BLAME ME!"

"Yeah! Fight to the death! I already picked out a coffin for you, Father." Tora got up and left the room. Even if it wasn't time yet, she would have to make it work. She couldn't stand being in the same room with her father.

"Time already?" Liam, who was waiting by the door this entire time, asked with a smirk on his face. He felt it funny seeing her eyebrows all scrunched up in annoyance. "You're very good at sowing discord."

"Is the party still live-streamed?"

"Yes, everyone is interested in this marriage."

"Good, let's start."
