Chapter Seven : The Basics

She starts the class bye clearing her throat." Welcome to the elite division of the first years. Only those with wards and high-level firepower can make it here but that's it. Every three months you'll be given tests and the people either the least scores get deranged to the class below you while the two with the highest from the class below you get promoted. Do you understand?"
"Yes ma'am " the class responded.
"Good. Now I'll introduce you to the basics a mage should know. Firstly, it's know to many tha we have seven different power levels ranging from a basic mage to the top, origin mage.can anyone plese tell me what the seven power levele are? You with the mask "
Every one turns their heads to ini
"The seven...." She cuts in "you stand up while answering my questions the same goes to all of you. Now stand up!"
Ini stands up and continues " the seven levels of mages are basic, nascent, intermediate, core, advanced, spirit, origin."
He finishes then sits down.
"Good. Now if we go deeper we can further break them into three, lower, middle and upper. Most of you are in the lower or middle basic level while most teachers are upper nascent to upper. I'm telling you this so you don't try something funny like trying to prank you recher or calling a teacher out. So.... Yes you" she points at a girl who raises up our hand.
" Could we know your power level?".
She replies shaking her head "no you can't. According to the school rule we teacher can't tell you so weak teacher don't get intemedated by large background. All I can tell you is I am strong enough to act without having to worry about your so called large background so don't mess with me. I'm sure you have your textbooks so we don't have to waste time on thosw I'm more about physical activity (for some reason some boys took that idea the wrong way not me (◔‿◔)) today is just for introductions so starting from here stand up and introduce yourselves." She points at the first table of the first column ( or row not sure)
The girl sitting stand and introduces herself.
" My name is Samantha Sebastian" she sits the the next person stands up.
"my name is .....".
"My name is ini ola" he then sits.
"Ola what?"ms aramide asks
The class realizes it actually impossible to have a ola name without an ending. Ola means wealth but Yoruba usually make it a phrase like olamide-my wealth has come, olamiposi-my wealth multiplies etc so just being ola is impossible possible adding another mystery to the mysterious boy.
"It's just ola.." he replies
She frowns "just say you can't say don't lie, class dismissed"
Everyone leaves but just when ini and ayo were about to leave she says "ini stay back."
Ayo looks at him with worry but leaves seeing him nod at her.
"Take off your mask" she commands
He looks into her eyes and replies" I'm afraid I can't do that. As far as I know it's not against the dress code"
She looks at his face looking for fear. Technically speaking a mage with no background should be Afraid of a teacher two levels higher than him but he's not.
"Ok you can go " she says and sees him going.
She picks up her stuff and leaves the class room.
Principals office.
The principal is sitting, opposite him is a man wearing an expensive suit. He is a representative of the Phoenix clan.
" Mr adeyemi you know how important this is you got to give me the boy."
" Mr ina I understand you but you would have to coerce this boy your self as a principal I must remain neutral." The principal says.
"Okay just keep other sects away from him."
"And the lightning God clan?" He asks
"We'll deal with them."
"Okay...."
*Knock* * knock*
"I'll be in touch Mr adeyemi" he stands up and opens the door to leave when his eyes met with the body of the lady at the door, they gleamed for a second then he left.
"Come in ms aramide." Mr adeyemi says breaking the silence.
She comes in and sits down.
" So what do we know about our little friend?" He asks
"Nothing much just that he is about to break through into the middle basic level and he doesn't fear me." She replies
"Ooh now what's interesting. Even if he doesn't have a background he must have something to rely on."
"The lightning God clan?" she asks
" Maybe but I'm more interested in finding out his real background. If he were one of there's he won't have been unknown till now even if he was adopted. Elijah is a perfect example and if he was adopted he must take their clan name so...."
"Their most likely watching over him for someone and seeing how close he is with ayo its been going on a long time" she adds
" Yes but if we can't find out now we would find out later all they said was keep an eye on him not don't investigate him. Keep finding out what you can but careful the lightning God clan is not to be messed with.
"Yes sir." She stands up and goes out.
