Nick arrived on top of the Aegis' headquarters, and the guards greeted him with utmost, over-the-top respect.
They did not want another extension of their sentence.
They essentially licked his boots.
Nick found that justified. Not because he felt that he was some amazing savior but because these corrupt guards finally had to act like the people they extorted in the past.
Nick walked down to the research and development department, nodded to a couple of researchers, and entered the Technician's area.
"Back already?" the Technician asked with a smile. "Thought you would take longer due to that entire business with Crimson City."
"I didn't have to do much," Nick said. "It seems like the leaders of Crimson City remembered Aria and me, and they basically did what I wanted."
"The problem is solved?" the Technician asked.
Nick just nodded.
