'Wow..' Kubera was currently inside the car Jake's mom drives because she was taking him to the college he attends. Although he read about a lot of this stuff in the system and even seen pictures of it that were provided by the system that was able to take them from the brain, he was amazed nonetheless by how it worked. The only forms of transportations he was familiar with that wasn't an animal were different type of sailboats and portals which were hard to make. But this 'car' wasn't the only one he saw, there were thousands on the roads!
While in the car, Kubera went ahead and opened his phone which uses fingerprint scanning to open, when he did so, he had this urge to open social media right away, but he resisted it and deleted all the pointless apps.

'I believe Jake's mom particular car is an RX7..' There were so many brands of cars in this world it was truly amazing. Kubera didn't read too much into vehicles though as he isn't able to get his hands on one until he turns 18 and obtains a lot of this world's currency called 'Dollars.'
Jake's mom couldn't help but glance at her son as he paid attention to his surroundings, 'Why isn't he using his phone? That's the first..'

Kubera was dropped off at the front of the giant Campus. Well, it was giant to him at least. The biggest building he's seen was the church in the Manticore Legion's capital. Never has he seen a school so big! But something caught his eyes, 'System, what does the difficulty of a place mean and how do I find out the difficulty?'
(College is a type of school that is an important establishment in any city as most will have thousands of people going to it daily, therefore it is classified as an Area of Interest (AOI) to the system. An AOI generally has a lot to gain, whether it be: providing ways for you to grow, weapons, tools, or more. The higher the difficulty, the harder it is to obtain those gains.)
(Difficulty rankings: ??, DG, SS, S, A, B, C, D, E and F. To find out the difficulty of the AOI, you first need to see what type of AOI it is. Luckily for us we already know it's a school, otherwise it'll be labeled as '??'. Because school is a place where people come to learn, teach, work, and fool around, the difficulty won't be past D, as long as you're a student there, and F is the lowest AOI Difficulty rank, so this school is ranked one of those. If you weren't allowed access onto an AOI however, it would already be classified as a C Difficulty or higher no matter what. Next, scout the school security: how many cameras are there, where they're located, what's mostly protected, what's the least protected, how many campus police officers are there and where are they normally at.)
(The meaning of 'Difficulty' is: 'How hard is it to gain benefits from AOI'. This is a school, most students are still growing and aren't entirely set in stone in life, making students: lower their guard to people on campus, recruitment easier, manipulation easier, and gaining experience for growth easier. There's also the fact most students carry valuables with them to raise their status and attraction, so schools are good and easy sources of: income, manpower, growth, opportunity and more just off the students! This is the reason school difficulty doesn't go past D when you already have access to campus. But because of student vulnerability, good security is important for schools so they can stop any suspicious and harmful activities. All AOIs will have some sort of obstacle in the way you'll need to get around. Keep in mind that the difficulty can raise if you were caught for example.)
After reading all of this, he noticed he had some notifications in his Ouroboros System, he opened it to see he got new tasks and quests waiting for him, this caused his lips to curl upwards into a sinister smirk, "Looks like my first day of school will be fun."

The 'AOI bonus' caught his eye, not only did the task help in the progress of the the quest they're a part of, now they also give him a reward that isn't just progress in the quest! He thought for a bit and understood why: He could progress his quest anywhere at anytime, but an AOI is important! If he has a quest that he can make progress in at an AOI, he can gather information about it which will help make gaining benefits from the AOI a lot easier and give the system more information regarding the AOI as well.
He still however didn't fully understand the reason as to why he needs to approach women and beat guys up. He understood that it'll improve him mentally and physically, but is that really it? There should be other ways to improve himself that doesn't involve this sort of route he believed, but nonetheless, the system is the only thing he trusts in this world, although he didn't understand a lot of stuff, he knew that he'll find out sooner or later.
After coming to a conclusion of everything, he decided he would approach women as he searched for cameras and officers. Although it seems straightforward, the previous owner was a shut-in who only did work on campus and stayed on social media, making the body and mind not used to this sort of pressure.
The 'focus', 'mental clarity' and 'masculine' stats were really having an effect on Kubera as they were really low, and were even amplifying his 'Social media' passive, giving him a slight headache and thoughts of wanting to just scroll online and sit somewhere quiet.

The system must've realized what was happening as it gave him an alert, reminding Kubera what he needs to do. He closed all the panels, looked around and picked a path to start walking on that led around campus.

As Kubera walked along Campus, he already spotted a few cameras around corners of buildings and on lampposts. 'System, are you able to save the area I've traveled and create a system map?'
(Nope, you need to complete a certain quest.)
'But how will I remember all the cameras I've checked?'

He sighed at the response the system gave him. He had a feeling that was the feature that was part of the reward, but he asked anyways just in case. That's when he remembered that he can use a notebook he had in his backpack to sketch a birds-eye view of his path, buildings and cameras.
Although he only wrote letters a bit back when he was living with his mom and dad using a knife on a wooden plank, his body was able to instinctively adjust the pencil and notebook in hands so he could use it comfortably. This was due to the amount of times the previous owner must've had to write and draw for school-related work.
Kubera got to work sketching as he looked around. Because he was always given maps back at his world with a bird-eye view of areas during missions, he was able to find a way to sketch what he needed to. But after a couple minutes, he saw a map of the entire campus posted on a wall, detailing what type of building each building was and where he was currently at..
'I'll.. Get to sketching this..' He was pissed at not only the fact there was a map already made this whole time, but the fact his sketching was terrible compared to the map!

'Oh yea.. Wait, this gives me an idea!' He realized that since printers exist, copies of the map should as well. So he decided that he'll ask the pretty women in his area for help. Like killing two birds with one stone, he can make progress on 2 quests at the same time!
It only took Kubera a few seconds to spot one walking nearby. She looked about his height, with brunette hair tied into a ponytail, a pink shirt, white skirt, and a black backpack with a drawing of a kitty on it.
His heart started pumping and his hands started to sweat at the thought of approaching her. His standard of 'pretty' were the type of women that were back at his world. All women there were beautiful mostly from bloodlines, labor from farming/fishing and the nutritious food the lands/sea provided. Some were even powerful warriors who could still maintain looks and elegance despite all the fighting and stress, take his mom for example.
When he looked around the campus, for some reason the men were mostly small and frail or big yet frail, with occasional men that looked to be in shape. They stood out the most amongst men as he used to be a warrior so he knows that hard work for men caused bigger muscles for more power and energy.
Then there were the women, who were mostly just big or skinny in his eyes. He's seen different type of men back at his world, but never a woman around his age that was unattractive. Some of them looked like monsters he read about back at his world and some looked like straight children probably due to stunted growth!
So to finally see an attractive woman made him happy yet nervous, with most of the nervousness being boosted by his stats.
After staring at her for a couple seconds he noticed she stared at him for a split second then looked away, 'Remember, this is to grow, not to find a wife.' he went up and approached her.
She was looking straight ahead while walking instead of looking at him as he was looking at her eyes, which he was confused by, but didn't think to much of. He called her out, "Hey lady, are you a student here?"
She stopped and turned slightly to look at him in the eyes, look down at him for a second then back up at his eyes before speaking, he noticed her scan him but didn't know why, "Yea Ima student, why wassup?"
This use of words caught Kubera a bit off guard but his body knew the meaning of them, allowing him to understand her after a second, "I was asking because, um, I'm not like familiar with this campus and, um, I was wondering if you knew where I could find printed copies of the map of this campus."
"Oh I gotchu, yea if you go straight down this path and make a right, there's this big building called Mantra, the main office of this school is located there. They should have copies of a map for ya there."
Kubera wiped the sweat off his hands on his pants, "I see, thank you very much ma'am. It was a pleasure, um, speaking to you."
"Yea." She turned and continued walking away.
Kubera stood there and watched her figure walk away for a few seconds. He had this strange sense of accomplishment after talking to her, it made him want to talk to more women. Although he was still nervous and uneasy just as much as he was before he talked to her, he believed it was progress nonetheless. He saw there were a few other women in the area, so he decided he'd just finish this task before going to the office.
