Darica drove to Duke's apartment only to be welcomed with an empty apartment without the owner anywhere to be found.
Seeing him not there, this time, Darica decided to brace herself and just try her luck.
So, she called Diana, Duke's sister, trying to find out if she at least knew where Duke went.
Since she never talked to Duke's friends, she didn't even have their numbers, so she couldn't ask them. Since she couldn't reach them, she might as well try to reach the relatives.
[Hello, D. How have you been?]
Darica smiled as she heard the familiar voice. It used to be hostile and now sounded much softer and intimate, very pleasing to the ears.
"I am good, Ana, and yourself?"
[I can't complain. It's been a while. You miss me?] The teasing came, making Darica loosen up.
"You can see it as that. However, I have some serious things I need to talk to you. Are you free?"
