The minimum wage currently was G$1,100 and with several companies closed, people weren't having it easy.
For a university student, one would need that G$500 for transport, food and rent totaling roughly G$2,000 or even more.
Darica's act of providing free transport would lessen this burden on students. And since she aimed to help the kids save money and not be stressed about where to stay, she decided to put all the expenses that the students would have to pay monthly be G$600.
