Duke's lips curled upon hearing that. He felt relieved as he could tell that in her own way; she was worried about him and she wasn't really chasing him away as he thought at first.
"I know you won't run away but I just don't want to separate away from you," Duke coyly responded, his gaze never leaving Darica.
He had gotten used to being with her in the past few weeks. Although the two had not shared the room or spent the night together, he just didn't want to part with her.
Darica looked speechless at Duke's shameless behavior. He was always acting coy whenever she mentioned something serious and, all the time, she always fell for it.
"But I want you to go home. If you want to be with me, at least show some filial piety to your parents. Are you trying to make me a vixen in your parents' eyes?" Darica glared at Duke as she asked that.
Duke suddenly sat upright upon hearing that, as he looked at Darica with a stunned expression.
