Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 6: DARICA, THE CHARMER 2

Watching as Darica, Owen, and Tristan competed in the water, the viewers were literally stuck to the screen.

Amongst those who were watching. There was someone who had known Darica for many years. And more than the F5 had ever known her.

Looking at her swimming easily repeatedly before winning the match, he couldn't help but smile, his eyes filled with so much pride that a father would have for his daughter.

"If only she wasn't a hooligan. Look at all those tattoos. Can't she be civil, and have a few, just like those other girls?" the man complained angrily as he glared hatefully at the tattoos that Darica exposed due to the swimwear she was wearing.

Darica, unlike her fellow gang members, had too many tattoos on her body. And not including the body piercing.

When wearing the swimwear, she was donning right now. Viewers could see clearly her left arm tattoo, which was a tree vine, followed by the right-side neck star tattoo then the right thigh Aster tattoo, which was more vivid than the others.

And when one looks at her closely. One would also be able to see the crown tattoo on her right hand, which people were still trying to figure out what it means, especially with those intertwining double R below the crown.

After the ink, Darica also happened to have a lower lip piercing plus five ear piercings on each ear and a left eyebrow piercing as well.

It's just that she didn't wear everything at once. Otherwise, she would look as if she was coming exactly out of Gotham City, with all the gothic look.

But when he suddenly recalled the reason why she had all these tattoos on her, in the first place, the man began to cool down. His mind completely taking a chill pill.

"As long as she is happy, that's all that matters," in the end, he sighed helplessly, his eyes filled with complicated emotions.

On the other side, Darica and her friends enjoyed their swimming sessions and after an hour of practice, Yuka ended the livestream and the five of them went to shower and change before leaving for the main hall.

As it was closing day, they wouldn't just leave for their homes without meeting everyone, plus the school administration, for the last time.

And with time moving fast, as always, the gang had to go there fast. For they were part of the people who were supposed to make sure that everything was in order as well.

As they were in the car, with Owen driving again, Darica's phone began to ring. Ringing with a familiar, dedicated ringtone for one person that every single person in the car was very familiar with.

Yuka hearing the ringing tone, excitedly poked Mirabel who was in the middle of posting photos on her Instagram account, and probed excitedly, "Mira, do you think that he will call and start acting like a spoiled brat like he did last time?"

Hearing this silly question, Tristan looked at Yuka with a dumbfounded expression, "For real, Yuka!"

Scrunching her face as she looked at Tristan, Yuka said, "It's not like I am lying. Just because he can't get her, he just goes around whining as if he is a child!"

Darica who was looking at the familiar name on the screen shook her head finding it very funny that her friends had suddenly become hilarious just because of a person.

If she were to talk about this person, honestly, she didn't know just how to explain it fully.

Her feelings were complicated and up until now, she was still clueless about how to deal with him.

Every single tactic she used on him never worked. The more she tried to push him away, the more he tried to break into her world.

Should she let him in and give him a chance or should she just shut the doors and not allow him any chance?

It was just too complicated however she would not run away from her troubles. This was why whenever he called whether it was to whine about something or whisper sweet words at night, she would always answer him.

She could say that she was always looking forward to his calls every day, and this was something that had become a habit.

Ignoring her friends who were busy poking at each other for silly reasons, Darica swiped the screen to answer after inserting her ear pod so that the others won't hear her call.

"Hmm, what is it?" she asked cooly her tone fully at ease as if she wasn't talking to someone who was loved by so many people.

To her, it didn't matter if the other person was popular more than her or not. Her feelings were what mattered and just because others would squeal whenever he opened his mouth, didn't mean that she should act the same way.

That was on the surface of course, for at this moment she was indeed very happy to hear from him.

He had been a constant existence in her life for more than a year. He never gave up even when she was harsh to him. Honestly, she didn't know if she would find someone like him in the future.

She didn't understand why he was so interested in her. And if she were to be with him, what if he was going to break her heart after she opened up to him?

If she were to say that she wasn't wavering, she would be lying. She was very scared and afraid of getting her heart broken and being used.

She had seen too many horrible things to trust a human being especially when it concerns the matter of the heart.

One needs to be careful when it comes to these matters.

"Hmm, I will think about it and give you a response later," Darica answered whatever the other had said on the other side after contemplating for a moment.

The four just looked at her, curiosity visible in their eyes for they couldn't hear what Darica was talking about on the phone.

The phone call didn't last for long before Darica removed the ear pod from her ear.

Even though they were all curious, they all knew where to stop so they didn't ask Darica but decided to let the other tell them when she was feeling like it.

The car at a constant speed made its way towards the direction most students were going towards.

And seeing the most popular car, the students were quite excited and couldn't help but take photos to share on their social media platforms.

Looking at the crowd of students waiting for the last gathering of the year, Darica felt very emotional.

'Next year we will be gone too. I wonder what life will be like when we finally and officially return to society again!'
