The room was dark with only a single candle giving it a bare minimum of light as the candle was seen at-top a medium sized round table.
Surrounding the table there were 6 men present as it seemed to be like they were rather having a secluded meeting somewhere considering how dark it was.
The table was empty with only the candle present at-top it as some of the 6 men did keep their arms clenched on top of the table as they rested there.
Their faces were much clearer amongst the 6, 2 were truly important individuals as one was the king's advisor— Mr Fabian while the other being the head of the political party called OOL or in short Order Of Lumos— Mr Kernel Speare.
There was a deep silence in the room for some minutes before one of the men broke it with his words "Well." The man gulped before continuing "Kernel, Have you made a decision yet."
Everyone inside the room set their gaze on Kernel Speare as if they were waiting for his decision regarding something.
Before he could spout any words, The Chief Advisor to the King of Lumos spoke as if to cover for Kernel.
"Gentleman." He started to speak rather in a calm tone. "Before we do anything harsh, we should at the very least ask him or else it'll only be more troublesome."
One of the men hearing the words of Fabian spoke out in a bit louder tone as if they were frustrated, "King?" He said with a slightly loud frustrated tone "Where is he? Fabian, He rarely even appears at the party office, palace or even the parliament."
Another one of them tried to intervene with a comment regarding those words "Calm down, The king is a grieving man." It was words in support of the king.
"Well true true." One of them joined in with a rather calmer tone "If something like that happened to you then you would have understood his position."
Again the frustrated man tried to defend his position with the same tone earlier, "Yea sure, Keep on defending him." It was rash how he spoke of their ruler. "It's true our party is Monarchist but then again how can we support the king if he shows no intention to rule."
Fabian tried to join in to calm the room down, "Maybe so, but you must understand that it's not forever as he is trying his best." He continued "He will return after healing the mental wound."
Kernel cleared his throat as he finally joined in the conversation "Order Of Lumos was founded in order to ensure the royal family will remain so we must support his majesty." He then set his gaze onto the man who questioned their king "I understand your worries but the king is currently not in a good shape especially after what happened to his wife, He is taking his time to heal and to find ways to save her majesty the Queen."
"How long?" The man added as he interrupted Kernel's words "How long must we wait?.. we are losing seats and influence.. the citizens are supporting our opposition more.. the church is getting more influence as we are quite literally not doing anything fruitful."
Kernel Speare sighed for a bit before continuing "Again, I said I understand what you mean but that doesn't mean we should stop supporting the king as the whole reason why this party exists and dominated the parliament for the past 4 centuries is all because of the Monarchy."
"As Kernel says, Give him time and your support or else everything this party built will crumble." Fabian added to Kernel's words as kernel nodded in approval to show he approves the words of Fabian to be true.
"As the 4 four elders and representatives of OOL from the 4 regions of Lumos, its natural that you should expect some frustration from us." One of the Elders spoke in support of the Elder of Rothal who was the frustrated Gentleman.
It was the Elder of Bergia who spoke in support of the Elder of Rothal as the Kingdom of Lumos had 4 specific regions excluding the Capital City of Dale as Lornos, Bergia, Holdor and Rothal were the 4 regions.
OOL dominated Lornos with the majority while Bergia, Holdor had a relatively weaker opposition while Rothal was no longer under OOL sphere of influence as they simply couldn't win any seats there except for a bare minimum.
Hence why the Elder who represented OOL from Rothal was quite frustrated as it was natural since he felt ignored by the Head of the party and king.
"The Church dominates Rothal already as the de facto head of the state is a cardinal, not an elected Governor showing the church's intent to turn Lumos into a Theocracy." He spoke in frustration but tried his best to be calm.
The Elder of Bergia commented "Same here, People's party is slowly gaining more and more here in Bergia as well.. considering the ties of the freedom party's ties with the church."
"Yes." The Elder of Holdor spoke "The Justice party just hates Monarchy but they won't betray democracy but the problem is the freedom party which is just HOL but exists to appease the minority for support."
The Elder of Lornos joined in with the other elders "Frankly it's annoying how the church pretty much has two parties supporting them, As Holy Order of Lumos and Freedom Party are the same but act differently."
"They wish to trick the system." The Elder of Rothal explained "Think of it as a way to have attract folks who don't support the church like the minorities as freedom party promises them lies but at the end their intentions are clear, get more than 60% seats in Parliament with HOL and through the parliament change the constitution as from a Kingdom to a Theocracy."
"Not to mention Lola Von Dein." Elder of Bergia spoke in a distasteful tone as if he hated that person named Lola.
It was clear there was hate as hearing the name some of elders showed signs of anger as Elder of Lornos said "Our most annoying opposition leader, Lola Von Dein is a thorn for the parliament and OOL alike."
"Indeed." The Elder of Holdor spoke in support of the words of the Elder of Lornos "She should be removed and prisoned as she is a threat which could grow up into something which would quite literally destroy our nation."
Fabian intervened "Well, We cannot silence opposition like that as it'll only give them fame and give us a bad name."
"Fabien, this is for the sake of the future." The Elder of Rothal spoke in an angry tone "OOL MPs elected from Rothal will bring the law to ban the Freedom Party and Kernel our only request is that you tell the rest to accept it."
Kernel was silent as he held his chin to think as to do, considering this a troubling situation for him as the head of his party.
"Do you think we will get his signature of approval?" The Elder of Lornos spoke while looking at Elder of Rothal "I mean, Royal House was very supportive of Democracy so such a move will be found as anti democracy."
"The Freedom Party supports the church." Elder of Holdor said "Considering we all know who is behind what happened to his wife then we can evidently say he will approve of this."
"What do you think Fabian?" Elder of Bergia asked Fabian since he was the advisor to the king and thus should know more as to what he thinks.
Fabian remained silent for a bit before answering "Well.. you are indeed correct about his hate."
Kernel Speare abruptly interrupted the conversation between them as he said "I'll see what I can do about the law you intend to pass as it'll be tough but of course Fabian does ask the king what he thinks about this, okay?"
Fabian nodded and after some more conversation the meeting ended as they all left the room except for Fabian and Kernel.
Kernel spoke softly "Will be accepted."
"Yes." Said Fabian in a quick manner as if he knew exactly what the king would do.
"But, My fear is that he may escalate things to attack the church." Kernel spoke in a rather worried tone "As he could cause a civil war."
"A man would do anything for revenge if the revenge is related to love, kernel." Fabian spoke with similar worries sprinkled into his words.
"Well yes." Kernel said "He indeed loved her so much, No wonder why they would target her."
"It was to emotionally weaken him." Fabian responded to those words said by Kernel as he continued "But they instead fueled his hatred for church more."
"They will eventually burn in his anger." Kernel said "We must prepare for that moment as it could entirely plunge the whole kingdom into hell."
"Hopefully that day won't come." Fabian faced kernel one last time before taking his leave. "It was a pleasure, I'll visit his majesty and tell him your plans."
Kernel shook the hands of Fabian before he left the room leaving Kernel alone to plot for the future which seemed to have more violent scenarios.
After some hours later, near what seems to be a countryside. Under the shade of a lone tree stood an ocean of green glass which was shining due to the bright afternoon sunlight.
The sky was naked as the sun was easily shining the entire land as enveloping it in its warm light but under the tree shade stood a man who was having a full black attire.
Fabian arrived in the area in a carriage as he walked over towards the man just to kneel down and say "Your majesty."
The man under shade slowly turned around revealing a face which had slight tints of blood which seemed fresh.
As the man was in fact the king whose arms were covered in fresh blood which was dripping down on the grass, as it's revealed that he was standing in front of corpses.
The corpses were having white armaments with the sigil of a cross placed in front of a mountain as it seemed to be like a massacre as the men from the church all died under the deep red eyes of the king which carried rage which could burn the entire world over and over.
As the kingdom was about to be shaken by a devastating future which awaits.
