I walked back to the room and found Mr. Bennett sitting at the edge of the bed. He was on a call.
"Hmm, did you take your pills?" He asked, and I was confused about who he was caring for.
Then he glanced at me. "I will hang up now," he said, ending the call before glaring at me.
This was my chance to ask him a favor; he looked like he was in a good mood. "Mr. Bennett, can I not be the face of Bennett Enterprise?" I asked with puppy eyes, and he thought for a while.
"Maybe if you ask me nicely," he said with a teasing tone, and I quickly hurried and crouched beside him.
"Mr. Bennett…"
"Hubby," he corrected, and my jaws dropped. He didn't mean that, did he?
"We are partners, relationship partners, so we get to make decisions together. If I say you should eat mushrooms and you don't like them, then as your partner... I won't force you to. Because THAT'S WHAT PARTNERS DO," I explained in one go.
