Alex's POV:
When I got home, Bruno was still there with Natou, and they looked at me confused. "Did you forget something?" she asked.
"Is Orlene awake?" I asked instead, and she shook her head in denial.
"Okay, Orlene and I will be leaving the country once she is up. I appreciate your efforts in taking care of us, but this is where our path stops."
"I can come back when you both are back in the country."
"That's the problem; we are not coming back," I said, and she gasped in shock.
"What do you mean?" Bruno asked with a curious tone. I breathed heavily before rushing upstairs. "Natou, please, you can leave for the day. I just want the house to be quiet."
I got to my bedroom and took out my suitcase before throwing my stuff in it. Then there was a knock on the door. It was Bruno. "Yes?"
"Are you okay?" he asked, and I chuckled painfully.
