Mrs. Long waved her kitchen knife. "No way. Brittany is so thin and small. David is tall and strong. Can Brittany beat him?"
Mrs. Woods took a step back. "Long, could you put down the kitchen knife before you speak?"
Mrs. Long looked at her from the corner of her eyes. "No, you're already holding the stick. How can I put down my kitchen knife?"
Mrs. Woods stomped her foot and threw the stick in her hand away. "I don't care. Anyway, this little slut hurt David's arm. She's from your family. You have to take out the money to help David go to the county town to see a doctor."
