"It's also because you taught her well. I think she's been doing more here than she has in all her years at our home," Chu Molin admitted, knowing that The Chus wouldn't baby them. Except this didn't extend to housework.
"Why doesn't Xiaoqiao join the army?" Qin Xue asked, puzzled. Chu Xiaoqiao met all the criteria, so why didn't she join?
"Military life is tough," Chu Molin supposed that maybe her parents couldn't bear to see her suffer.
"Hmm, okay, that's a strong reason; I believe it." Qin Xue pondered. If it were her, she surely wouldn't want her daughter to join the military either. It's a universal parent's mentality: they can endure hardships, but they don't want their children to suffer.
"Xue'er, are you still sleepy?" Chu Molin asked Qin Xue, who was eating porridge.
