Upon getting up, Qin Xue first checked the table, and indeed there was a note. After reading the note, she rummaged through the wardrobe and found a red jacket to wear over a grey sweater, paired with black jeans and black casual shoes. Her hair was tied into a bun, and after looking at herself in the mirror, and was pleased with her simple yet graceful reflection.
"Darling ones, be good at home with Xue Ling, okay? Mommy's going to sit for her exams. Cheer for me and wish me success, won't you?" Qin Xue kissed both of their faces after speaking.
"Xue Ling, I'll prepare some food for you before I leave, alright? If I'm not back by midday, you go ahead and heat it up on your own. I don't even know what I'll be tested on and when I can return. If I get back too late, then Xue Ling might go hungry."
"Sure, I understand. Go ahead, I want meat," Xue Ling said. As a fox fairy, meat is its preferred sustenance.
