"Chu Molin, what would happen if I quit the army?" Qin Xue asked Chu Molin.
"That would be desertion. You'd be blacklisted by the state. What, are you regretting your decision?" Chu Molin questioned when he heard what she said.
"No, not at all. It's just a what-if question. There's no way Qin Xue would ever desert." Qin Xue would never desert. If she didn't want to serve, no one could force her. But since she had joined the military, she was committed to seeing it through because it was her dream. She was just curious if the punishments for deserting now were the same as they were in the future.
"Xue'er, some things in this world are not to be joked about. You should know that especially applies when you're a soldier. If you really don't want to continue, I'll figure out a solution." Chu Molin didn't want to push her.
"I'm serious. I'm just asking because I remembered something I heard a while ago." Qin Xue really wasn't planning to desert.
