Upon hearing these words, Ivy's eyes lit up: "So you mean, he didn't believe you were Mommy's daughter?"
"Yes!"
That damned guy went through every possible relationship but refused to say "mom."
After hearing this, Ivy finally breathed a sigh of relief. But why did she feel guilty when she was clearly the one who had been wronged?

As the mother and daughter were talking, the phone that had been hung up rang again. Ivy glanced at the screen and said to her daughter, "Baby, go wait in the bedroom for Mommy. I'll answer the phone and then come to sleep with you!"
Seeing Bianca nod, she walked with her little legs to the bedroom. Only then did Ivy answer the phone: "Mr. Gordon, is there an emergency that you need to call me so late at night?"
"Ivy Aretha, get down here!"
Michael's voice on the other end held a hint of anger, clearly upset.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Gordon, but it's late, and I have to go to sleep!"
