After she spoke, the Living Room was silent as a graveyard.
Mrs. Herd blinked, this was not the reaction she had expected, "You... aren't you happy for me? This should... be good news, right?"
Mr. Johnny was the first to snap out of it, asking, "Meina, what you've said... is it... all true?"
Mrs. Herd nodded, "Of course it is. Ethan just called me, asking me to hurriedly prepare the betrothal gifts, then march over to Rose City, propose to the Davis family, and secure the marriage as soon as possible... Who will join me when the time comes?"
After Mrs. Herd finished speaking, no one talked; they all just stared at her in shock as if they still hadn't recovered from the surprise.
