Scarlett Glenn felt a burst of joy in her heart, finally able to make a phone call. She hurriedly called Ethan Herd, thankful she remembered Ethan's phone number.
As she turned to enter the door, Linda wanted to follow, but Scarlett Glenn said with a smile, "I'm going to make a phone call. Could you please wait outside for me? You could... communicate well with Freddy. He's such a fine young man, don't miss out on the opportunity. If I didn't already have a boyfriend, I wouldn't want to let him go either. It's always right to bravely throw yourself at it."
Linda's face instantly turned red: "Cough, cough... I, I... You better hurry in to make your call."
Scarlett Glenn closed the door and expertly dialed Ethan's number. There was no answer at first, so she tried again.
After a short wait, the call connected, and Scarlett Glenn heard Ethan's very impatient voice: "Hello, who is it..."
