Anthony Davis was momentarily stunned before he realized what Scarlett Glenn was really worried about wasn't whether she had blood ties with the Davis family, but... her mother's past.
What this girl wanted was an explanation for her late mother.
Anthony thought of the photo on the tombstone; that young face had passed away... so early.
No matter whether Scarlett Glenn's mother was his younger sister or not, he would help her find out the truth.
"You as just a little girl, you managed to survive on your own all these years, it must have been tough," he said.
Scarlett Glenn shook her head: "No matter how bad the past was, I will always have a good future."
"Right, things will get better," he said. If he couldn't protect somone now with the status he had, then it was pointless for him to continue in his position.
