Day broke, it was only 7 o'clock, Scarlett Glenn hadn't woken yet, Ethan Herd had already gotten out of bed.
When he went downstairs, he ran into Mrs. Herd, "Where are you off to this early in the morning?"
Ethan replied, "I have some errands to run, and I'll stop by the police station on the way."
"You're going to take care of... Ghiovani Herd's matter?"
"Yes, I'm going to settle his affair once and for all, to prevent any further complications. Scarlett Glenn hasn't woken up yet, let her know when she does."
Mrs. Herd waved her hand dismissively, "Alright then, off you go."
Ethan didn't move and asked, "Mum, aren't you going to ask if I want some breakfast?"
Mrs. Herd pursed her lips, "Aren't you in a hurry? Eating breakfast would be such a waste of time!"
Ethan's mouth twitched, "Mum, was I a promotional gift that came with a phone recharge?"
Mrs. Herd's face showed pity, "I wish that were the case, then you wouldn't have to carry Ghiovani Herd's blood in your veins."
