Gamma shuddered, all the unwillingness towards Scarlett Glenn in his heart disappeared. He hadn't gotten the girl yet, he couldn't let this happen.
As her fingers fiddled with the pendant, Scarlett Glenn felt somewhat heavy-hearted, "I've never seen it before."
Before figuring everything out, nothing more could be said.
"Scarlett Glenn...you..."
"Auntie...you're here." Nathaniel York's voice suddenly came from outside. He deliberately raised his volume, just so the people inside could hear.
Gamma's face changed: "My mom's here."
Scarlett Glenn immediately looked around. There was no way out. She quickly slipped into the bathroom.
Outside, Nathaniel York stood in front of Mrs. Young.
"Nathaniel's here, why not go in?"
