Ethan Herd held Scarlett Glenn's hand: "We have something else to do, so we'll leave first. Enjoy your dinner."
Enjoy it, all he wants to do now is kill someone, he has no appetite for dinner.
Scarlett Glenn had a smile on her lips as Ethan Herd led her away.
With the others gone, Nathaniel York felt like he hadn't recovered from the shock of it all, and he couldn't calm down. He watched Matilda happily bouncing away, and saw her walking arm in arm with Thomas, unconsciously clenching his hand.
He thought she was happy because he had a girlfriend... but she was actually happy.
The young lady across from him asked, "Are these... really your friends?"
Nathaniel York snapped back to reality, pondering whether to nod or shake his head.
Friends? Obviously not!
Enemies? Doesn't seem that way either.
Nathaniel York chose not to answer. He smiled and said, "Is there anything else you want... want..."
