Flora Irving screamed in pain as if her scalp was being torn off.
Flora cried out in pain: "Ghiovani, what's wrong? Ghiovani, it hurts... Please let go..."
Their relationship was very delicate at this point. Flora never directly confronted Ghiovani, and treated him like she always had. No changes in her emotions were revealed in her face.
Contrarily, Ghiovani, when facing Flora, increasingly lost patience. His eyes could no longer conceal his hatred and disgust.
As Flora screamed, Ghiovani found some sort of satisfaction. When someone's anger has no outlet, their heart becomes twisted, seeking satisfaction through extreme means.
That was Ghiovani. He discovered the more Flora screamed, the better he felt. No longer hiding it, he slapped her with a forceful backhand.
"Sleep, sleep, sleep, that's all you do. It's costing me money to raise a loser like you..."
