Both of them were very happy that Scarlett Glenn was able to break through the heavy dark siege, so Thomas took Matilda to have a drink to celebrate.
Thomas had some ulterior motives though, as he wanted to pluck up his courage with alcohol and then confess his feelings to Matilda.
However, he never expected his alcohol tolerance to be so poor. Not having had much to drink, he staggered to the bathroom, accidentally bumping into a woman who was holding a drink in her hand, spilling it all over herself.
She grabbed Thomas and wouldn't let go, insisting that he compensate her, claiming that her skirt cost over 2,000. Since Thomas didn't have the money, she forced him to drink. If he didn't, they wouldn't let it go.
