Returning to the hotel, Matilda Jenkins wanted to follow Scarlett Glenn into her room.
Scarlett Glenn looked up and said her first words, "I can do it myself."
Scarlett Glenn's voice was hoarse, as if a handful of sand was stuffed in her throat. It sounded awful, and Matilda was moved to the verge of tears. She shook her head, "Sis, let me accompany you."
Matilda now deeply regretted leaving Scarlett Glenn before, as she thought that had she been there, she would never have allowed that damned murderer to get near the goddess.
Scarlett Glenn pushed the door open, "Suit yourself."
Thomas made a gesture to Matilda, who hurriedly followed in, "Sis, you should sleep, I'll stay with you."
Scarlett Glenn walked into the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and the gushing water wet her hand. The dried bloodstains in her palm were easily washed away.
Scarlett Glenn kept washing and scrubbing her hands, rubbing her palms red without realizing it.
