Scarlett Glenn asked, "Helping others... is it for personal gain, right?"
Ethan Herd pinched Scarlett Glenn's face: "Smart, most people in this world are motivated by interests. What interest does he have to help Rini York? I understand what you're thinking, find his interests and break them. It's better for me to do it, and you don't need to worry about the rest."
Scarlett Glenn wanted to speak, but Ethan Herd silenced her.
"Sleep, don't think about it."
At the next morning, the weather was gloomy and drizzly.
Ethan Herd held an umbrella and hugged Scarlett Glenn as they got out of the car. Almost no one attended Arnold Glenn's funeral besides the York Family—and Ruka Glenn.
Scarlett Glenn was wearing a skirt with a brightly colored floral pattern. The colors and design appeared tacky, but when worn by Scarlett Glenn, they were dazzling.
Scarlett Glenn held onto Ethan Herd's arm as if she was not attending a funeral but a banquet instead.
