"At this point, who cares if you get scratched by glass? It's better than being blown up with the car."
Scarlett Glenn didn't care whether she had been cut by the glass shards or not. She saw flames emerge from the front of the car and shouted, "Stop talking, the car is on fire!"
Ethan Herd and Deano Zell each grabbed one of Scarlett Glenn's arms and gave her a forceful pull out of the car.
Scarlett Glenn's body slid off the car hood, feeling a sharp burning sensation, as if her skin and flesh were being scorched.
She gritted her teeth as her feet finally touched the ground.
"Hurry up and run." Ethan urged as he pulled her along.
They hadn't run more than six feet when there was a loud bang behind them. The car exploded, and a wave of heat swept over them from behind. Ethan and Deano both shielded Scarlett by throwing their bodies over her.
Nathan Cole and Thomas were the closest to them, feeling the heat wave but remaining unharmed.
