Mrs. Herd came down and saw that Ethan and Scarlett Glenn were very close, with Ethan half leaning on Scarlett. She blushed and cleared her throat: "Ahem, be careful!"
Ethan raised the corner of his mouth, not only didn't let go of Scarlett Glenn but kissed her on the face, and then said, "Mom, I want to eat Chicken Noodle Soup."
Mrs. Herd snorted, "You're lucky to have something to eat, don't be picky with me."
Although she said that, about ten minutes later, fifth sister-in-law brought out two steaming bowls of Chicken Noodle Soup from the kitchen.
Fine noodles, topped with clear chicken soup, sprinkled with shredded chicken, and some shredded vegetables, the aroma of a bowl of noodles wafted in the air.
Mrs. Herd took off her apron and handed it to her fifth sister-in-law, then said to the two, "Hurry up and eat while it's hot, and leave when you're done."
