Mrs. Herd huffed, "Anyway, I just don't see her good side."
Ethan poked Mrs. Herd's forehead, "That's alright. We have a lot of time ahead. You'll find it eventually. How can you be so childish at this age? Don't judge people by their appearances. Ruka Glenn seems to treat you nicely, but who knows if she's holding a knife behind your back."
Mrs. Herd, feeling offended, slapped Ethan's hand away, "Alright, alright! I have a low IQ, is that good enough for you? I get it...eat it or don't."
Ethan sighed, realizing his mother's IQ wasn't going to improve in this lifetime.
Mrs. Herd said irritably, "You almost made me forget something; Henry's younger sister's coming-of-age party is this weekend. Remember, she's mentioned it many times. It'd be rude not to attend."
Ethan almost forgot about the event. He squinted his eyes, deep in thought.
After a while, he said, "Alright, I'll go, of course."
Mrs. Herd looked at him suspiciously, "What are you up to now?"
