Ethan Herd led Scarlett Glenn to the same private house they had visited last time. Scarlett refused Ethan's princess carry, and with one foot higher than the other amidst Ethan's ridicule, they entered the elevator.
Scarlett wasn't worried about what Ethan might do to her, because she had a thousand ways to thwart him.
After exiting the elevator, Ethan entered the password, and the door opened.
As soon as Scarlett entered, she smelled the delicious scent wafting from the room, already hungry and starving. With this smell, her mouth watered uncontrollably.
Ethan also smelled it, furrowed his brow as he entered, and shouted, "Mum!"
This house was only ever visited by him and his mother.
However, why did this old lady show up every time he brought Scarlett over? Was this really just a coincidence?
Ethan felt somewhat disheartened. With his mother around, wouldn't the plans he had in mind end up not happening again?
