Scarlett Glenn stood by the window, watching Thomas drive away.
There were still a few hours before dawn. Taking advantage of the Glenn Family's disarray, she had to do something more.
Then, she made a call.
"It's me. Let's meet, same place as usual."
After hanging up, Scarlett Glenn put on the black sportswear she wore last time, donned a duck-billed cap, and a face mask. She took out a bag of stuff and stuffed it into her pocket.
Downstairs, Scarlett Glenn went to the residential area's parking shed, full of electric bikes and motorcycles. She took down a black card from her head, unlocking an electric motorcycle.
As she pushed the vehicle out, she realized something. Goddamn! The current electric bikes can't start without a key.
Scarlett Glenn gritted her teeth – the absence of her own car was truly a pain.
Luckily, this was the City Center. At this midnight hour, if she were lucky enough, she might encounter a taxi.
Ten minutes passed, yet she found no cars.
