Scarlett Glenn leaned forward, getting close to Elijah Graham's face and removed his sunglasses: "Marry? Who would dare to marry a woman like me? You?"
Elijah's eyes were slightly round, very bright, and beautiful, resembling a woman's almond-shaped eyes. His eyes reflected Scarlett's face as he pinched her chin: "Yeah, I'd dare to marry you, but would you dare to marry me?"
As soon as Sister Mei stepped out of the elevator and saw the scene, she felt embarrassed. Coughing twice: "Ahem... umm..."
Sister Mei's appearance provided Scarlett with a way out of the awkward situation. Scarlett stood up straight and Elijah let go of her hand.
Scarlett asked, "Sister Mei, what are you doing here? I was just about to call you."
Sister Mei awkwardly replied, "I was worried you'd oversleep, so I came to pick you up."
She thought to herself that Scarlett, the vixen, was so thick-skinned, and yet she, the one who interrupted their moment, felt her face burning with embarrassment.
