John River approached her, intending to greet her, but upon seeing Scarlett Glenn's menacing expression, he swallowed his words.
Scarlett Glenn appeared not to see John River at all, simply walking straight past him.
Her aura of deadly intent was enough to quash anything in her surroundings.
John River wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Could it be that she had argued with Mr. Herd?

After Scarlett Glenn had left, inside the makeup room, Ethan Herd leisurely sorted out his clothes.
He was particularly looking forward to tonight. He'd had so many boring years, and then, after Scarlett Glenn came back, he felt that there were finally some waves in his life.
John River knocked and entered, lifting his head to see lipstick stains at the corner of Ethan Herd's mouth. Recalling the sight of Scarlett Glenn outside, he quickly lowered his head, "Mr. Herd."
Ethan Herd, done fixing his tie, saw himself in the mirror.
