Scarlett Glenn couldn't care less about her. She swiftly pulled out a leather wallet from Jim Caldwell's clothes, took out all the cash inside, then casually tossed the wallet back to Jim. "Jim Caldwell, consider this money as an apology from your girlfriend to me."
A brief look of shock appeared on Jim Caldwell's handsome face but he soon regained his usual refined manner, a hint of intrigue flashed behind his gold-rimmed glasses. A faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he lightly said, "Have a safe trip."
Anger twisted Margaret Glenn's face. "Scarlett Glenn, you have no shame. We still have ours. How are you different from a prostitute…"
Regarding Margaret's words, Scarlett indifferently stuffed the money into her bag. "My dear elder sister, you've been competing with me for so many years yet you never learn. I've warned you countless times not to provoke me, because I don't know what I'm capable of."
Andros Glenn gritted his teeth. "Scarlett, why are you doing this? Hasn't the family given you money?"
Scarlett scornfully replied, "Did they? I wasn't aware."
The Glenn family was reluctant to spend money on her. Aside from a piece of luggage and an airplane ticket, Scarlett Glenn had nothing else.
They weren't just trying to send her abroad, they wanted to exile her. They were probably wishing for her death.
Their faces immediately turned sour.
Arnold Glenn gritted his teeth almost to the point of breaking. "If you don't leave soon, you'll miss your flight."
Scarlett stood her ground. "Well, if I miss it, I won't go, I'm not in a rush."
Arnold Glenn wanted to kill her, but instead suppressed his rage, pulled out his wallet, and gave the cash to Scarlett. "You've always been a big spender, so be more cautious overseas. You'll be given living expenses regularly."
Scarlett coldly laughed. Big spender, he had the audacity to say that to her?
She took the money, it was just three or four thousand at a glance.
She glanced at the bank cards in his wallet, if only she could use them abroad, she would've taken all of them.
Scarlett stuffed the cash into her bag. "If you'd given this to me sooner, we wouldn't have had this problem. Be careful or you might go bankrupt from being so stingy."
Members of the Glenn family were so mad their blood was boiling.
Ethan Herd had been standing there all the while without uttering a word. He squinted at Scarlett's charming silhouette, a rising fury building up within him.
This woman, from the beginning to the end, hadn't taken a single glance at him.
Seeing Ethan staring at Scarlett, Ruka Glenn had tears welling in her eyes, then softly said, "Scarlett, I won't hold a grudge for the incident back then. Considering you called me 'aunt,' here's a piece of advice: you can't act like this anymore when abroad. Not every woman is as easygoing as me."
She put on an act of magnanimity and kindness, apparently not holding a grudge against Scarlett, but her words were harsh. If not for her modesty, she'd have said: Don't be promiscuous, don't jump into bed with every man you see.
Scarlett knew exactly what Ruka was up to.
Ruka just wanted to show Ethan how obedient and sensible she was, to make it clear that she was of a different class than Scarlett who was shamelessly dishonorable.
Scarlett chuckled. "Aunt, you truly have a kind heart. Since you've said so, why should I be polite?"
Ruka stiffened, a bad premonition creeping up on her.
Scarlett turned her waist towards Ethan, her hand reaching for his neck, "Uncle, do you like my lip color today?"
Ethan Herd: "It's passable."
Scarlett's finger traced Ethan's lips: "Would you like to have a taste?"
