Agave Rinto unexpectedly raised his voice: "Finnian Moore."
Finnian Moore pushed open the door and walked in: "Master McKay."
Agave Rinto pondered: "Help me with something."
Finnian Moore leaned in to listen.
Agave Rinto spoke into his ear in a voice only the two of them could hear. After listening, Finnian Moore stared at Agave Rinto in disbelief, "Master McKay..."
Agave Rinto gave him a dismissive glance, "You must handle this matter personally and must rely on only the most trustworthy people. You must not leak a word."
Realizing that Master McKay was serious, Finnian Moore immediately responded: "Yes."
After Finnian Moore had left, Agave Rinto rose and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. It was close to New Year's Day, and red lanterns were hung everywhere in the Manor. From a distance, the lanterns added a touch of romance to the deep night.
