August 26, also known as the 15th day of the seventh month on the lunar calendar, is the traditional festival - Zhongyuan Festival; it's also a grand Buddhist event - The Ghost Festival.
As the premier ancient temple in the world, Manplatte Temple, would invite monks from all over the world to hold a grand puja ceremony on this day.
The abbott from Bowlskia Temple in Pethkids, Master John, was invited to attend. He set out three days in advance with his two disciples, Arthur Perth and Aaron Perth, and finally reached the entrance of Manplatte Temple at dusk that day.
The receptionist monk of the temple greeted them and respectfully bowed when he saw them.
"The presiding monk has been waiting for a long time, Master please."
Master John nodded: "Thank you."
