As Aubree finished speaking, a sedan came to a stop by her. Aubree opened the car door and got inside. The sedan kicked up a cloud of dust and left abruptly.
Agave Rinto stood in the darkness, looking utterly downtrodden.
Finnian Moore looked on from a distance, a deep-seated discomfort weighing on his heart.
After a while, Agave Rinto asked, "Is she truly heartless?"
She was willing to lay down her life for anyone, but her heart was the hardest and most precious thing in the world.
"No, that's not it." He stated, shaking his head softly. Suddenly he turned around, his eyes bearing an edge. "How is Anton Cook doing right now?"
Finnian Moore was caught off guard. After thinking for a while, he said, "He has fully recovered and been discharged from the hospital, but it seems he has lost his memory. He doesn't remember Ms. Aubree."
