"Edward, this is Miss Philbert of The Philberts. Here's my grandson, Edward, who just returned to The Drakes after studying in Pethkids."
Granny Drake introduced the two to each other.
Nicholas Drake displayed the perfect blend of aloofness and polite head nod, "Ms.Philbert.".
His gaze focused intensely when observing people, yet his eyes would not reveal any emotions. As his voice trailed off, he subtly diverted his gaze. That fleeting glance, however, stirred an ocean of emotions in Nichole Philbert's heart.
"Granny Drake, my name is Nichole. You can call me Nichole directly. Edward, may I address you as brother?"
Granny Drake turned to look at Nicholas Drake. Remembering Ayana Philbert's tragedy, she would never force Edward. But as for the thoughts of this little girl... she hoped Edward would handle it tactfully without sabotaging the mutual good wishes between the two families.
Nicholas Drake nodded his head, "Ms. Nichole, as you please."
