Mr. Hart was delighted by Aubree Groove's promise, as if he could hold a grandson in his arms by tomorrow. He even came up with a name for the grandson already.
No, no, no, a granddaughter would be much better, a little granddaughter like Aubree. That would be terrific! She would be well-behaved and beautiful – their family's luckiest little princess.
He was so elated by the thought that he couldn't help but chuckle.
Aubree turned to Nana Breezent: "Nana, come with me, I have something to tell you."
Nana's eyes twinkled with excitement, she intertwined her arm in Aubree's affectionately: "What can't you say in front of old Mr. Hart?"
Aubree's brow furrowed. She didn't want to shatter the dream of the woman absorbed in joy but some things are better said sooner than later. It would be better for everyone.
"Nana, are you sure you want to marry my brother?"
